Gray couldn't waste anymore time like this, he had to find her soon but he feared the worst had already happened. However, having about a fifty-fifty probability that she was still safe gave him a smidge if hope. He had thought that out of all the people he loved that had been taken away, he thought she would be the first to stay forever. Out of all the possibilities to where she might be, he had forgotten one...
Once he realized it, he ran so hard he thought his lungs would explode.
"OPEN UP THE DOOR BASTARD"
"Have you found her yet?"
"Have you?" Gray spat at him. Next he pushed Lyon away and barreled through his brothers house searching for a sign, anything.
"She's not here, I would never do something like that. Please let me help search...gray please." He looked over at his figurative brother, he looked terrible...well gray probably didn't look any better. It looked as if he hadn't got any sleep in days, maybe weeks. He even had a little stubble growing, as if he had lost all will to do anything involving effort and time. Time that could be spent searching for her.
"I miss her gray..." Lyon had tears welling in his eyes as he collapsed on to the couch.
"Me too, Lyon...me too..." Gray put his jacket back on and was well on his way after hearing soft snores from Lyon.
'He needs sleep, not hope.'
He hurriedly made his way towards fairy hills, earlier that day erza had agreed to let him search the room.
"I already searched." He recalled erza saying before he entered the room. The smell was overwhelming and familiar.
"Oh fuck, I don't know if I can do this..." His knees went weak as he lightly grazed his fingertips over the pictures of her hanging on the wall.
"She looks so happy...don't worry I'll find you soon." He cradled a picture frame in his arms, talking to himself.
He was about to leave but something caught his eye about the frame, there was white sticking out of the back.
Filled with curiosity he opened the back of it and pulled the photo out. The original picture had another picture behind it along with a letter, there seemed to be tear stains on both.
'My dearest juvia,
I hope that us parting ways will not hinder our strong bond we all share. If you choose to come back ill be waiting in the marram grass at sunset, our special spot. When you return, we shall marry and live happily.
I will wait forever, but please come back.
Lovingly, /////// '
The last part seemed to be blurred by the old tears, or...rain? He next looked at the old picture. There were four children, two girls and two boys. The one on the middle left was obviously juvia, the girl on her right had gray eyes and pink hair, the boy on her left looked like a younger version of her kidnapper... He slowly pieced things together.
"Holy shit..." 'The boy in the letter must've sent the portal Mage to retrieve her so they could get married. I've got to stop their wedding.'
"Levy!" He knocks rapidly on her door and she opens it slowly.
"Yes?"
"What do you know about marram grass?!"
"Ammophilia, more commonly known as marram, Is grass that is found almost exclusively on the first line of coastal sand dunes; their extensive systems of creeping underground stems or rhizomes allow them to thrive under conditions of shifting sands and high winds, and to help stabilize and prevent coastal erosion."
"But if it only survives in dry conditions then how did it survive juvia's rain."
"Maybe she didn't have it until she left..."
"Ok so where does it grow?"
"Typically only on islands near dahlia-"
"Give me a map." She handed
Him one quickly as if she had know he would ask for one.
"Tell erza I went on a job to clear my mind!" And with that he jogged home with a marked map in tow along with the old picture and letter.
'Time for some juvia Hunting'
He packed his bag and grabbed his wallet.
