When Jaimie finally caught up to her, she was on her knees with grief. Her back was to him as she began to ramble. "No...no. I-I didn't kill her, did I?"

He turned her around and embraced her tightly. "No, that's not you."

"H-How do you know?"

"Because you never killed before, right?"

Silence.

The young man  felt concerned. "CJ?"

She avoided his eyes. "I...have."

"What?"

"It was an accident!" She looked at him with tears. "I-I didn't mean to kill her."

He sighed. "I...won't tell anyone. I promise. I wouldn't be a good lawyer if I did, so your secret's safe with me, CJ." He pulled away and wiped her eyes. "You look good by the way."

She sniffled through a chuckle. "You too."

The two headed back inside, but were puzzled as to what was going on. Peter was saying something to the judges and they were nodding in agreement.

"Everyone here is a witness," Valerie began. "Peter Talbot has admitted to failing the defendant, Sydney Campbell in the past. But, he has decided to give compensation by uniting himself with her."

CJ was shocked and bewildered. She looked to Jaimie and he explained, he clarified that it was like a marriage between two veers. But, the ceremony also proclaimed Peter as her guardian. He added that it was the elemental's job to watch, protect, and take care of CJ forever.

"Sydney Campbell," The Chancellor announced. "You will be placed on house arrest until the time being. You will serve this time under the close eye of your guardian, Peter Talbot. Approach the bench, and receive your Confinement Rings."

[R-Rings?] She pondered, but did as instructed. Peter took her hand gently and placed a silver  wedding band on her finger. It was one of a kind with it's Zirconia and Palladium setting.

"I choose to be your guardian, from now until the end of time." He expressed

She gulped. But, she put the other ring on his finger anyway. It felt like a wedding ceremony between her and the man that she's always loved. She was on the verge of sobbing.

"Judgement has been made vocal!" Julian stated, everyone bowed and was dismissed.
