"kiyia," my best friend, valerie, whines, "get off of your phone and pay attention to me. i need attention or i'll die."

looking up from my phone, i look at her and can't help but laugh at her fake pouting, "stop it val, i pay attention to you"

playfully hitting my arm, she whines again, "you're paying more attention to your phone than me. what are you even doing?"

"i'm talking to someone," i say as i look back down at my phone seeing if they replied yet.

"oh!" valerie practically screams, "is it that ethan dude?"

"who is ethan? it's eli."

"oh yeah,  i knew that," she lies, "what are you guys talking about?"

"nothing that important," i quickly say, "just some stray kids stuff."

valerie's eyes widen, "stray kids? you mean my babies? let me see," she says and then grabs the phone out of my hand.

"val! what are you doing?" reaching for my phone, she holds her arm out, "give it back."

"nope," she looks down at the phone, "oh! he just replied. 'how can you stay loyal to felix when the others try to attack you? it's hard' " she says as she tries to talk in a deep, manly voice.

laughing at her failed attempt to make her voice deep, i give up trying to take my phone back, "see i told you, we are talking about stray kids."

"he stans stray kids? i mean i guess it makes sense since his username is uwukids. what kind of username is that?"

"uh, a good one. don't be mean."

"says the one whose username is okayskz, i mean where did you even come up with that?"

"listen here, i invited you over for a good time, not to be roasted. personally, i feel attacked," i look at her which causes her to stick her tongue out.

"i'm just kidding kiyia, your username is great," she smiles, "i want to make a twitter."

"make one, that way i can finally add you into a group chat with eli."

"finally?"

"yeah, a while back he asked if i had any other friends that liked stray kids and i mentioned you. i told him that if you ever make a twitter, i'll add us in a group chat."

she stares at me before slowly nodding, "it would be nice to have another friend that likes stray kids, especially a boy."

"whats him being a boy gotta do with this?"

"depends, is he cute?"

i shrug while looking down at my hands, "dunno. i've never seen what he looks like."

"that sucks. i'm sure he's cute though."

"probably. but even if he isn't cute, he has a nice personality," thinking about how well we get along, i couldn't help but smile a little.

valerie randomly squeals, making me jump a little, "you like him, don't you?"

"what the fuck, val? i barely know him."

"as if, you guys have been talking for a few months now, and you two constantly talk. you can't tell me that there isn't any sort of feelings."

i blankly look at her trying to find something to say, "he's just a friend."

"hm... we'll see."
