-November 2016-
"Hey, Gio?" I questioned searching through my dresser drawers. I waited for him to respond, still shuffling through the drawers.
"Huh?" He finally responded poking his head through the doorway to our bedroom. "Do you need something?"
"Yes, I was wondering if you've seen my blouse? It isn't in the closet or the dresser." Together we both have this house, but I still kept the apartment I first got when I moved here, so I would have room to work on dance, it's become like my creative space. I only keep my dance stuff over there so I know my blouse wouldn't be over there. Every so often I stay overnight there when I'm trying to finish a piece for the competition team or something for one of the recitals.
"Oh...I haven't seen it, is it not in the laundry room?" Gio replied walking over to me and peering into the closet just behind us.
"I'll go check there, but I don't think I've washed it recently," I reply walking out of the room and down the hallway to the stairs leading downstairs.
As I enter the laundry room, I shudder. It always cooler in this part of the house due to it being downstairs. Not only that but I'm still in my pajamas, an oversized t-shirt, and shorts. I walk over to the cabinets above the washer and dryer, where we keep the just washed closed that have yet to be put away. I open the cabinets and start sifting through the stacks of clothes. T-shirt...pants...ties... but no blouse. I do a 360 turn in the laundry room wondering where my blouse wandered off to.
I sigh as I shut the door to the room and start walking back upstairs. Just as I put my foot on the bottom stair, I hear a crash from upstairs. I quickly run up the stairs going two at a time. I search for the source of the sound and realize it came from the bedroom. I open the door and take in the sight. Gio is standing at the foot of the bed with his phone in hand. Across the room, the lamp that is normally on the bedside table is smashed and lying in the doorway of the closet.
"What happened!?" I stutter my voice barely a whisper. Giovanni must not have heard me because he continues talking on the phone.
"Why do you have it?" He asks the person on the other end. "Oh my lord, I need you to bring it back," He continues after a brief pause.
I know I shouldn't eavesdrop but after the recent lamp episode, I can't help but be suspicious. I continue taking in the scene, Gio talking calmly on the phone, and barely 10 feet away from him the smashed lamp. It's so odd why would he smash a lamp? Who is he talking to? And what are they talking about? My curiosity has gotten the best of me, so I walk over to him and tap on his right shoulder.
"What just happened?" I ask as calmly as I can. He's never acted this way in all the time I've known him, something must really be wrong if this behavior is present.
"Oh!" He says surprised, did he really not know I was here? "Grey, what are you doing here? Just a second let me finish this call."
"Fine, but afterward I want to know what the hell happened, ok?" I say getting frustrated. What am I doing here? Do I not live here, why does he sound so surprised? It's like he's trying to hide something. I huff, as I retreat out of the bedroom and to the living room at the end of the hallway.
I walk over to the coffee table and grab my journal and pen off of it. I sit down in the chair and open to a new blank page.
November 16th, 2016.
I check my watch and continue,
6:47 am
Giovanni has been acting very strange, first, he smashes a lamp against the doorway of our closet. Then he is talking on the phone like nothing happened. Finally, when I ask him about it he is surprised by my presence! Hello, I do live here too, well at least I do most of the time. What is he hiding? I'm going to get to the bottom of it.
Rosie
I close the journal and set it back on the glass table in front of me. I always record the events of any particular day in the journal. It's a process I started when I first moved to Seattle. I found it was a good way to sort through what I was feeling at any particular time since I would no longer have my parents or brother to talk to since they now lived about 3 hours away. Once I met Vivi, Ger, and all my other new friends, it became easier but every so often something comes up that I want to write down. So, I still have a journal here and one at my apartment.
After another 10 minutes, I hear Gio coming down the hallway, so I stand up to meet him. He walks in and his eyes instantly find mine. I have never been the best at reading peoples eyes, but his look so... lost. I close the distance between us and lead him over to the couch, where we both sit down.

Author's Note
Annnnnnnnd that's chapter 2 for y'all. We finally have a bit of drama, not much but some. Soooooo...
What is Giovanni hiding?
I'm also going to start doing more of Rosie's journal entries so you can see a bit more of her thoughts laid out.
I wasn't thinking about doing Giovanni's POV because I want it to be like you ARE Rosie and discovering things at the same time she is. But that all depends on what you guys want.
