It had been a few years since the incident with everyone in the town. After he had
healed most of the way, he started a small cabin, everything handmade. This cabin had
so much in it for what it was. He had it so there was a fireplace to warm the place, a
working-ish bathroom, dealing with finding a stable water source is the biggest problem.
He built the bed frame, and the couch frame. She brought the mattress, and couch sit.
They would leave town in her father's truck to go to stores out of the small town that
didn’t have anything. After a day of spending close to two-thousand bucks, their home
was what they called a home. Lucky and his now wife were on there way to Maine. The train rocked softly, the love of his life falling asleep humming softly while her hand rubbed her lower belly softly. They were heading to Maine to see her older brother. He lived with their mother, when her parents divorced, her father took her. It was a four hour trip on train. Up in a small town in Richmond, Maine.
They new family walked up to the red door, nervous, excited, just filled with emotions. Her brother opened the door with a grin the went from ear to ear, hugged his sister, swinging back and forth excitedly. She got him to stop, Lucky reached his hand out to shake his new brother’s hand, but received a hug instead.
“I’m-ah sorry with some of my words sound weird, as a Maine-ah I have accent.” He smiled brightly, “Come in now for dinnah, I made sis’s fav, lobstah chowdah!” Lucky watch her jump up and down and run into the kitchen. “Good to see her so well.” He smiled, Lucky nodded. At the table she ate two bowls, while her brother and hubby ate one. “So you said you’ve got some-of-the-thing for meh?” She nodded and handed him a gift box. “Yah! man, you didn’t have ta sis!” He opened the box “What ya get meh? Wait……….. You is lying right?..........I’mah?…. Imah?……. I’mah uncle?!?!?!!? He jumped over the table to his sister, pulling the chair back and getting down on his knees to face her abdomen. “Hi little one in there, I’m your uncle, I can’t wait for ya to come into this world. I loves ya already.” He looked at his sister. “You be good this baby. I ain’t want no problems.” He smiled brightly "Don't worry, I'm just poking fun at-ach brother, welcome to the family."
