It was 10 years after Annabeth returned from Tartarus. The ten years which Frederick spent making up to her for the last 17 years of his daughter's life. And now, it was time to give her away.

It was Annabeth's wedding. To Percy Jackson. Frederick would have threatened him to keep his daughter safe, but he probably lost the right to do so. Anyways Percy Jackson had taken much better care of his daughter than he ever could have.

Frederick Chase stood at the aisle to accompany her. Annabeth came into view and Frederick beamed. His daughter was so beautiful and strong and he was so proud.

She linked her hand in his and gave him a small smile. "Ready Dad? " He just gave a tiny nod, he was just too emotional to say anything.

Half-way down the aisle he whispered to her, "I'm sorry honey, I was a terrible father. "

She turned towards him and gave him a grin. "Admittedly, you weren't the best father. But you were an okay father. And in this day, I guess okay is pretty good too. "

His eyes welled up. "Annabeth dear-"

He was cut off by his daughter who hugged him and whispered, "I love you dad. "

All the guests collectively let out an "Awwww," and Annabeth was later told by Grover that Percy shed a few tears and that he had to console him.

Frederick Chase was happy that his daughter didn't hate him. He was happy to be an okay father.
