COMPANION

Hello L.A

It's 6 a.m. Today it's my first day at the new school. I'm so exited. I get up from my bed and go to the bathroom. I'm planning to go running, just to get to know the city better. I wear a black T-shirt with a pink heart, my favourite white shorts and my black converses.

Hannah and David's appartment looks great! It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 kitchen and one huge living room. I check if they are stil asleep and go downstairs.

Los Angeles is different than Sidney. Is QUIET! Or is it just because it's 6 o ' clock? Anyways. I'm going to the beach. The waves make me feel like home. I stop running and take my shoes of. I step on the wet sand. A wave thickles my toes. It feels great. I see a shadow right next to mine. He looks at me and smiles.

- What are you doing here so early? says him.

- I wanted to see the sunset! I smile.

- You're new here! Would you mind if I show you the city?

- No, but I can't right now. I have to get ready to go to school. Maybe another day! I say, while getting my shoes.

The sunlight shining on his face. That brown eyes, that smile. That gentle breeze touching his brown hair. I can't stop thinking about him. What's his name?

- By the way, I'm Jack! he yells when I'm about to step on the road. I turn back and say :

- Nice to meet you, Jack! I'm Cece!

I run home and get ready for school. I wear a pair of black jeans and blue sneakers. For the top part, I choose a dark blue T-shirt with the words ' Love the ocean ' written on it.

David takes me to school. I'm so exited!

At lunch, I try to get some food from the school canteen. It looks like the cook doesn't even know what food she gives. :) Somewhere behind me in the row, I see Jack. I wait until he gets food.

- Are you following me, Jack?

- Hmm... Maybe, Cece! Listen! Would you like to sit with me and my friends?

- Hmm... Maybe, Jack!

We are heading to a table in the corner of the canteen.
