This is a fairly common soulmate AU, I believe.
As in the name, certain persons can see the fabled 'red string of fate' that will lead you to, in this case, your soulmate(s).
I have also seen a case where the person could see different color strings at different times and their eyes would change color depending on the string that was visible to the person. For instance, Red = Soulmate, while Black = Injury. In the case of the black string, the person would see two people connected by a black string and at some point, one of those two would get hurt in a way that somehow related to the other person.
