Arendale had always been a peculiar girl. In the third grade, Arendale found out that she could open locks just bye twisting her hand the way you would open a lock. In the 5th grade, she was being chased by a gang of 7th grader boys and suddenly found herself back at the orphanage!

Arendale always assumed that she would only be going to a public middle school, so she was the most surprised when the letter came.

"Arendale!!" Ms. Mary had shouted for her to come. Once she was in Ms. Mary's office, she showed Arendale the letter and smiled. "Seems like you were accepted at a school after all."

When Arendale made no attempt to take the letter, Ms. Mary put it gently in her hands. "Better open it now!" She winked.

On the parchment yellow envelope, written in emerald green ink was this:

Miss Arendale Chan

First Room above the stairs

2165, Gonluk Drive

London

Arendale, with trembling hands, slowly tore open the envelope. Inside was a letter and a train ticket. The letter read:

Dear Miss Chan,

You have been accepted at Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry!

Please read the attached note carefully.

We await your owl no longer than the 31st of August.

Sincerely,

Professor Longbottom

Deputy Headmaster

P.S. If you are planning to come, please await Mr. Harry James Potter on the 31st of July (tomorrow) at the front steps at your orphanage.

Arendale was speechless.

"What did the letter say?" Asked Ms. Mary kindly. Arendale thought about what to tell her.

"I have to wait for Mr. Potter to arrive tomorrow and he will explain more" Arendale stuttered.

"Great! I'm so proud of you, Arendale!" Whispered Ms. Mary as she pulled her in a tight embrace. Arendale smiled. The first real smile to appear on her face in a long time.
