Huey's POV
It was February and Valentines Day was in 12 days. I didn't like valentines day because everyone gets so romantic and cheery. The bad part was that we had a dance on Valentines day so everyone would be asking their friends or crushes to go with them.
Jazmine,Brianna,Aaron,Cindy,Jalynn and Bradley were already going as a group and we all know Jazmine is forcing me to go too. Friday, after school she asked me in the group chat she put me in even though I didn't want to be in it and she said this:
J:Huey,do you still wanna go to the valentines dance?
H: Jazmine I already told you no a million times now. I'm not going to a dumb dance.
J:But it'll be fun!
B:it's not like he's gonna change his mind Jazmine.
C:Yea, Huey hatin ass always never wanna do shit!
H: Oh hush up Cindy! and Brianna's right I'm not changing my mind.
A: You don't have to go Huey. Just know that you'll be missing out.
H: I don't care Aaron.
B: When will you ever lighten up Freeman? You're such a debbie downer.
H:Bradley,it's not that I don't care about anything or anyone, I just don't feel like participating in stuff that you guys call "fun."
J: Typical Huey.
H: Jalynn, What are you doing here??
J: You forgot I was in this group chat too?
H: Whatever,I'm gonna go do my homework now. And Jazmine,stop adding me in these!
J: Ok😪
I was doing my homework when Riley busted in our room. "Aye! Jazzy told me you ain't wanna go to y'all dance to with her." How you know?" I asked my brother. Riley put up his phone and showed it to me. Why does Jazmine even have his number anyway?
J: Riley!
R:What?
J:Your brother is so..ugh!
R:What he do?
J:Well, we have a dance on Valentine's Day...
R: Oh yea..C Murph told me y'all school gotta vday dance.
J:Yep. Anyway, I asked Huey if he can come with us but he said he don't wanna go! And the dance is so fun!
R: That's messed up tbh..if I went to y'all school I would definitely go to the dance with you. Huey just being a hater as always.
J: Aww thanks Riley☺️I just want Huey to have a little fun once in a while. He's always so miserable.
R:That's just how he's been. I'll go talk to him and if he still say no, imma make sure he change his mind👊🏾
J: just don't hurt him too bad.
R: I won't trust me😏
J:That face says I can't trust you😕
R: I know. Later Jaz✌🏽
"So Jazmine told you I didn't wanna go to the dance with her?" I asked. "That's a real dick thing Huey." I thought Jazmine was yo friend." Riley told me. "I mean..she is but she knows I don't like doing stuff that involves "fun." Yo ass betta go to that dance." All Jazmine wants is for you to have some fun once in a while." Riley said. "Riley,why would I listen to you?" Your only in the 4th grade and you known me since you were born." What could possibly make you think your right?" I told him.
Riley always thinks he's right when he has no sense in him. I mean I was 11 and Riley was only 9. He always acts like the older one when he's still a street gangsta that thinks everything and everyone is gay. "I'm just sayin cause I actually treat Jazmine as if she were my own sister unlike yo ass." You only treat her like that now since she doesn't act so naive anymore." I said. "Whateva." My annoying brother says as he walks out. I rolled my eyes and continued my history homework. When I was done I grabbed my book and went to the living room. Grandad and Riley was watching Real Housewives of Atlanta. I sat on the couch and read my book. Not paying any mind to my brother and grandfather.
When I went to bed I thought about Jazmine still bugging me about Valentine's Day and the dance. I already told her a million times I'm wasn't gonna go so there was no chance of her asking me. But then I smirked thinking that Jazmine really got fooled right now. She thinks I'm not gonna be at the valentines day dance, but will I? "Jazmine Dubois.." I chuckled, "your naive days hasn't been over yet."
So I just thought of this since Valentine's Day really is in 10 days🥰and that my school is also having a dance on the 8th,(which is Friday.) You guys already know that Huey is going to that dance and Jazmine doesn't know😂Plus,we got Huey's birthday comin up March 30th (I made up the birthdays since no one knows when their actual birthdays are) Anyway,New chapter comin by tomorrow😛bye👋🏾oh and Happy Groundhog Day y'all🍄‼️
