Way Worse Than Sick

Riley's POV

I woke up the next mornin and damn I wasn't feelin it. My stomach was killin my ass so much,my nose stuffed as hell,and my throat hurt so bad I couldn't even speak. Ion know if my allergies acting up or I really am what I hope I wasn't....sick.

I started coughing so loud it woke up Huey. He looked bad too. "Riley, I don't think it's your allergies, plus it's not allergy season yet so your.." Nigga I already know,I'm sick." I interrupted. "Yo ass sick too." I said to him with the remaining of my voice I had left.

Huey and I had a whole lotta tissues all over our beds and the both of us looked pale and green at the same time. "Huey?" Riley stop talking, your losing your voice and it's gonna be gone completely." He told me. "But I do know what you were about to do." I nodded.

"Grandad!" We both called for grandad until we started coughing again. Grandad then came upstairs and the surprise we got was that he actually was also sick. "Boys! I don't know how the three of us got sick but imma go get some medicines and thermometers and then we all gon rest." He said befo he left the room. Mane I couldn't believe this! I was sick I couldn't do nothin about it but hope for the best.

Huey's POV

Me,Riley, and Grandad was sick and we were in the middle of our mid winter break. I was about to go back to sleep until grandad had came back with the meds but my phone started ringing.

The name read: My Forever Girl❤️🤞🏽which was Jazmine and before I answered I went downstairs because I didn't want Riley listening to our conversation and then he's gonna know that me and Jazmine were dating and tell everyone.

"Hey Jaz." I said in my creaking voice. Not only was Riley losing his voice but I was too. "Hey Hue." Jazmine replied back to me. She was sniffling and coughing over the phone and her voice sounded like mines and Riley's. She also wasn't feeling too good. "I can tell your sick too." I told her. "Yep. my parents said I had a fever so I have to stay in bed." She told me.

"Me,Riley and Grandad are sick so we're also at home while grandad went out to get some meds." Funny thing is that my mom and dad are sick too. "My dad also went to get some medicine and I'm here with my mom."  This reminded me of the fried chicken flu last year. But instead of the problem being because of a fast food item, it's something way different.

I went downstairs to the living room as soon as grandad came in and he actually looked worse since he was outside. "Boy,why you not in bed and who you on the phone with?" was all he asked. "Hi Mr.Freeman!" I heard Jazmine say on the phone. Grandad went over and took the phone from me. "Hey lil baby,how's everything?"

I was surprised he still called her that. Jazmine didn't seem to care. "Me,my mom and dad are sick." Jazmine said to him even though she just said it to me. "I actually saw your dad at the store. How bout y'all come over and we can all chill our sick selves together,ya know like watch movies eat some soup I bought and just relax." Really grandad?" I did want to spend time with Jazmine but I didn't want no one to know our secret relationship. "That sounds great!" We'll be right over!" Jazmine said and hung up. I sighed and sat on the couch. This was gonna be weird.

Jazmine's POV

We went over to the Freeman's and chilled. My parents brought some stuff to bring down the sickness. I had a 98 degree fever according to the thermometer.

Mr.Freeman was in the kitchen with my parents talking while making food and me,Huey and Riley sat down on the couch watching TV. I sat next to my boyfriend of course and leaned my head on his shoulder.

It was a good thing the parentals weren't looking otherwise the secret would've blown but I was worried if Riley might know. He may treat me like a sibling but he'll still be running his mouth every little secret about everyone whether it's about a little fight at school or Uncle Ruckus getting beat up by a gang of random people.

Finally everyone came out and I quickly put my head up. "Everyone alright?" My mom asked us. " We're fine,we were just watching Tv and relaxing." I answered.

"Hey guys..is it getting hot in here or is just me?" my dad asked. It actually did feel hot but it was almost March. How could it possibly get hot at the end of February? Mr.Freeman went to check the thermostat. "It's at 55 degrees, ion get it."

"Aye mane, I'm startin to sweat so y'all better find out why it's so hot befo my ass melts into a puddle!" Riley went outside and I followed behind him. "Riley,Jazmine where are you guys going?" Mr.Freeman asked. "What the hell?! It hot as shit out here!" Riley yelled.

Everyone went outside in the yard and they literally almost went crazy. "It was just 30 degrees yesterday how did it get this hot?!" I heard my dad say. We all went back in confused of the crazy weather when the news actually answered that question for us.

"We have never saw this before, this could be one of the craziest moments in history!" The news guy said on the Tv. "A strange bad illness that has infected everyone in America." Crazy weather that will be over 120 degrees but surprisingly by tonight,we will be in the negatives folks yep people have been having over 90 degree fevers and ending up nearly dead so hopefully we will get back to normal by tomorrow. "

This definitely reminded me of the Fried Chicken Flu except crazier. I went in shock and nearly in tears. Huey came up to me and wiped my eyes. "We're gonna be ok Jazmine. A lot of people get sick sometimes." But we didn't expect EVERYONE in the whole COUNTRY to get sick!!"

After yelling I got worse. I started choking and and got less of breath. "HONEY?!" my parents screamed. "JAZMINE?! Are you okay?! Deep breaths!" I heard my bestfriend/boyfriend say. I still continued to until I vomited and passed out. I lied there on the floor with my parents,boyfriend,closest neighbor and half brother watch me suffer. "JAZMINE!!!" all of them screamed. I did nothing but close my eyes.
