CHAPTER ONE WELCOME TO LONDON

The ramshackle town is soaked constantly by massive storms the streets are mud exclusively black wood buildings and some drenched abandoned market areas filled with spoiled food and slick fat rats have several long robed figures (note robes are slicked in wax that the players will need during rain storms at some point) these figures are gruff sailor types with heavy accents of not being from around there. The players learn very little from them other than that their ships were wrecked upon entrance and that they are trapped here like you and of course the location of the local inn and general store the only two public places still open.

The players may wander but as doors get closed in there face and people scream at them from windows before running away they will eventually go to the inn. Note the city is mostly abandoned but not by choice the empty homes are infested with rats like cats and some even worse with fungus. The entire area around and throughout the countryside with hastily dug graveyards in thick clay or in muddy silt but many or must of these are roamed by the dead and more ... Unsavory creatures .

The city can have lots of either combat or creepy encounters poisoning spore clouds when the player open doors and random zombies or even ghouls covered in fungus who will shamble out of corridors and alleyways to attack the party or creepy encounters like fungus piles that form into the shape of one of the players faces or tiny jars of squid that can read thoughts and speak back these are just cool things for the party that can set the scene make its clear that the atmosphere is cold muddy wet and miserable with absolutely no let up on the rain except for a nat 20 on your weather roll even then its just dark and cloudy with lightning above

At the inn the player will meet sever Al npcs

The bartender: LOYD BALESON is a shape disguised mind flayer he is the strongest one in London his personality is incredible he has custom stats and in town he is known for helping people and generally being a bro he has a high as hell charisma and possibly one level of wizard and rogue he will be a level 4/5 boss definitely not a smart idea to anger him off the bat

He can point you towards stuff on your map of town and your shifty map of the area but he knows nothing about what people are calling the sleep curse saying he thinks its just superstition.

Other NPCS

RUTHLAN OSWALD ( Ruth) a stout dwarf female with a severe fear of the ocean she is not going anywhere till she has finished her beer if she is bested in a drinking contest she invites a party member to her house or the whole party for the LIVING HOUSE SCARE ENCOUNTER

STEVEN ELDER BONES an ancient salted sailor with a huge iron and steel twisted hook this he uses to nurse his beer close to his chest and mumble into his white and gray beard. He will get you a discount at the docks and tell you the dangerous spots on the map as well as throw random shade at the center of the island and the ocean of filth(a massive black swamp of mud with a mountain at its heart. This he says houses a danger that has destroyed his once beautiful home he is the oldest person in the entire town. USE TO IMMEDIATELY GET INTO THE MAIN QUEST LINE BUT YOU WILL NEED TO SLEEP AND THAT WILL TRIGGER THE LIVING HOUSE OF DREAMS ENCOUNTER

The curtain folds down of the party if they chose not to attack either side quest right away being given the task of retreating a brooch on a chain from the local oldest graveyard NEW GRAVE DIGGERS ENCOUNTER
