Michael and Aria cleaved through hordes of shadows and Melissa closely followed them providing the occasional support. Stag swiftly sliced through the demons with a devilish grin on his face, his claws extended and all four eyes gleaming with power.
"This is too damn easy." he said driving his claw through a demon.
"They are not here for us. We must hurry back to the portal before its too late. Michael, which way?" Melissa cast a barrier ahead that burned a barrage of demons to ashes as soon as they crossed it.
Michael worked his blade swiftly slicing through a group, black tar dripped from the blade as he shook it with every kill.
"I can not focus on the portal anymore. Something must have gone wrong."
The four made it outside the giant tree and found themselves in a clearing within the elven city. Armor clad, battle ready elves stood in ranks, their spears glistening under the darkened skies like beacons of light. They held their ground against the demon onslaught.
Aria looked up at the darkened red sky, a ball of fire coming down right at where they stood. She took a defensive stance, words of power came to her mind like a reflex, she gathered the strength from around her with newfound ease, raised her hand and yelled "Dá'á'ro!!!!"
Her eyes glowed with raw power and her will manifested in a stream of magic, radiating from her palm towards the meteor. Held in stasis, mid air, the meteor dispersed, revealing a group of demons suspended helpless, their eyes glowing red with rage but unable to move. Aria spoke another word of power that sent them soaring off back to the sky with a flash of a bright light. The sudden dispersal of energy left her body weak and she lost her balance falling to the ground. Stag rushed towards her, catching her just in time.
"Woah, easy there kiddo. That was some heavy lifting you did."
"I feel dizzy..."
"Well what did you expect after that? The old elvish words hold a lot of power"
Melissa came to her within an instance,
"Aria, no more casting, your body wont be able to withstand another feat like that one. Stag, stay close to her, I don't think she knows what she did."
"Yes mistress." He lifted up Aria in his arms.
Michael fought with the elves holding their ground, his armor covered in black tar and smoke rising from it. There was a moment of respite and the elves spoke to Michael, some looking at him with hatred and blaming him while some took him for a friend.
"We have to make our way out of the city. There is too much interference here for me to focus on the portal."
"We're right behind you."
An elf walked up to the four, his armor stained with dirt and claw marks, his spear dripping with black tar from the many slain shadows.
"Hir Mikhaeel. Ealondiril mi'eka ris herin to ae dar'wa. He bids you farewell. make way towards the mountains, follow the red crystals. May the light guide you."
Michael returned a courteous bow and headed towards a clearing through the thick vegetation and the rest followed him. The path ahead was vague and it was getting difficult to see but he saw a shimmer in a distance, a faint red spark flickered at a steady interval.
"There!" He pointed ahead. "I see the path. We need to hurry."
They had finally arrived at the base of the mountains, following the crystals set out for them. It was eerily silent despite the burning skies. Michael stopped suddenly, clutching at the hilt of his sword, he unsheathed the blade in a swift trained move and took his stance.
"Michael, can you feel it?" Melissa stopped midway as she felt the presence of a being she hadn't faced in a very long time.
He sensed a sudden surge of energy from all around him.
"Well well well... look who we have here... My My.... haven't you grown into a strong handsome man... Michael Redstone" A seductive voice with a burning desire echoed through the forest.
The air got heavier, mist appeared out of no where, suddenly covering the ground, dark smoke appeared from within the forest and started forming into a figure till it coalesced into the demoness' form. Long silky curled hair flowed freely. Two horns jutted from her forehead curving forward and reaching below her shoulders just above her bare chest, accentuated curves adorned with nothing but gold jewelry and gems. Her deep red eyes burned with lust and held promise of ecstasy. Thick luscious lips of a deep blood red with tips of her canines showing through her smile. She moved her hands slowly over her body that would entice even the purest of souls into giving in. Her bare long legs ended with high heeled stilettos made of her own flesh and a tail that swirled in the air slowly like a dazzling snake. The air around her radiated with power of a higher demon and she was not afraid of flaunting it. Her aura affected those around her and eventually even the strongest of wills had given in to temptation. Trophies from her victim's bodies hung around her waist loosely.
Stag looked at her, his gaze narrowing.
"Oh crap... Irilith."
Irilith, the one demon who had managed to fool Michael not once but twice. Melissa knew this particular demon closely and she knew the strain it had put between her relationship with Michael. The higher demoness, prime succubus, Mistress of disguise and deceit. Long time ago the demon had managed to capture Melissa, tortured her and broke her willpower. Through it, she got away with much of her identity and had her way with Michael for two months before a brief moment of clarity where He broke free of her spell and saw her true form. Even though he managed to rescue Melissa from Irilith, Michael could not exact his revenge on the demoness and some wounds had never fully healed.
"If it isn't Zhorg's favorite bitch." Stag remarked,
She smirked, Sashaying her way to him, hand on hips, her tail stroked Stag's face, her aura forcing him into stasis.
"My sweet sweet blue pet. How I've missed you so Stag... "
She traced her claws along his face, scratching through the tough hide till he bled. Stag was entranced, unable to move. Frozen in place by a power far greater than his own. Her claws slowly traced down his torso and the she withdrew,
