CHAPTER THREE [REVISED]

     >>>>>>>

It has been three days since Michelle met up with her ex husband. She sat at her desk staring through the window unfocused as she went through the cases for the day.

Her mind quickly moved to Jayden she worried why he came into her life and he was well with Makayla.

Jayden was rooming her mind since lately, his smile alone made her want to know him even more. She admired how positive he was, the lightfulness and patience in his spirit. There was an  enormous shift around her and  like a tsunami has arrived in her life.

The day quickly ended and she didn't even know the direction she was heading towards.

*******

She quickly went through the remaining files and visited a few patients. She knew what she wanted but was blind on how to get it.

Ryan her ex husband as done so much in the past week to get back with her. Sadly, he was unfortunate. He knew what he had lost. It was during college they met but it wasn't mutual it was based all on lies and deceptions.

                       •••

Jayden pushed his butt out as he shake his ass off to the pop songs. He was a huge fan of  Ariana Grande and now he fell in love Lizzo.

He gently moved around the pink castle of baby Makayla, it was soft and smelt stinking rich. A small baby had the latest luxury brands but she wasn't lucky to have a luxury comfort and affection of a mother.

Michelle's love for her daughter is undeniable; sometimes the human in her mixes with her emotions.

It was a friday night and she got ready to end her day's work. She got her leather jacket and placed it over her chilly body and existed her office.

Even though it was in the evening and she had a rumpus of a traffic to get through, she still went to the cafe. The depth of her brain plagued her as she questioned her self. Was Ryan Miller needed in Kayla's life? He was like a pieces of rotten bananas that needed to be thrown away. Just like a virus he wasn't needed.

Michelle moved the small cup of hot fresh coffee as her canines bit on blue berry muffins. Instantly her mind wandered to her childhood, she shivered as a cold kitten in the relatively warm cafe. Her spirit dampened by the simple action, a couple walked in hand in hand, so much in love with each other. It reminded her so much of her previous marriage with Ryan.

"Romeo and Juliet."She muttered underneath her breathe. Michelle quickly hardened her thoughts and went back to her casual thinking.

The soulful classical music that blasted through the shores of the cafe; Delightfully it played and relaxed the customers. It wasn't too loud just perfect for our ear lobes to comprehend. This was the only amazing thing that had happened to Michelle.

Either ways she worriedly picked up her phone to check for notifications and emails.

**Flashback **

A curious eleven year old Michelle moved her body close to the study room where she heard shoutings and a dispute. She held her posture firmly as her legs could allow her to do so. The raffling of thin papers with lengthy words, passages and sentences; The clicking of ball ink pens. She was unable to understand what was going on but she knew it wasn't proficient. The loud echoing of her father's voice made things vivid.

" This marriage is over now you can leave now for good!"Her father angrily instructed at her mother more likely shouted like a wild tiger.

"So what about your daughter?" The soft voice of her mother inquired at her now ex husband.

"Fuck her! You will manage. " The bitter man replied to his now ex wife.

She didn't need to hear any more. It was clear all the times they never spoke and he was almost absent led to the divorce.

Typically her tiny physique shivered at her father's brutal words, he clearly didn't care about neither his daughter or ex wife.

She moved her body away from the study as tears and cold sweat devolved her.

                  •••

A droplet of tear had graced her phone screen as an incoming phone call flashed across. She never liked been vulnerable so she quickly restrained her state and flashed a smile across her cheeks and spoke into the device.

"Hello. Who's this? It's Doctor Carter."She greeted the called.

"Martin, Mitchy. How are you doing young lady?

It was her cousin, not just a relative but her very best friend. They did everything together in the childhood, Martin and Mitchelle haven't spoken in a year.

"Just work and Kayla. Where have you been weirdo? She questioned as a genuine smile appeared across her face.

"China! So how is my little princess?"

"Wait! You knew? well she's fine and eating all my food."

"See yah Mitchy." He ended the call without even responding.

                      •••
Michelle arrived home in a improved mood from the one she left out with. She was some what way calmed. She changed her attire and moved towards the kitchen.

Her nostrils were welcomed with strong garlic pasta that charmed her stomach and to cheerful laughter and and  fresh baby fragrances.

His back was turned as he washed the dishes and rotated around the dirty metal marble kitchen. She heard a very deep voice that sounded relatively familiar, that only one man in her lifetime owned. It was no other that cheating bastard, her ex husband Ryan Miller.

"Your back Mitchelle."A bubbly cheerful sweaty Jayden greeted her in his cute apron attire.

"Oh yeah. What's going on here?" She replied as she was focused onto why her ex husband was here.

"Well Ryan here is a family friend and he came to see Kayla, so I offered him dinner and yours is in the fridge." Jayden's sweet raspy voice replied.

How could she be angry with him?
