A warm light of the house filled the darkness of dusk overcoming the island. It was a warm and humid day, just like any other day on Isla Nublar. The storms had been slim and far between but one was on the way, Tropical Storm Sunny. The muggy air seemed to engulf the whole island, anyone inside a place with central air was considered lucky.

The island was at peace finally being able to start back up again as a theme park after InGen was sued. James Young and Henry Wu were serving a hefty thirty years in prison, along with Ethan McVay who was serving fifty to life because of the crimes he committed during his employment with InGen.

Emma Grant was able to live freely without the threat of being eaten or shot. Although the absence of Rexie took a heavy toll on both her and Felix. She finally got the card access to go into the nursery to oversee the newborn tyrannosaur that they had to make. The first Apex Sciences had ever condoned on making, staring "Jurassic World wouldn't be amazing without one". It was her and Felix job to now start a new chapter in their research. A chapter that began with the birth of Minnie, the infant tyrannosaur.

A chorus began to sing the melody of happy birthday outside of the house, several cars parked outside. The coffee table in the center of the living room was crowded with gifts from everyone visiting. Emma carried a small cake frosted with pink roses decorated all over into the dining room of their newly renovated home, joining in the chorus of her family and friends, smiling as she saw Owen standing with a grin on his face singing along as well.

Emma looked around the room to scan everyone's smiling faces. Felix sat next to his brother Lowery on the couch in the living room along with Dimitri and Myra. Hunter stood beside Emmett and his girlfriend, Rachel Dearing, which was an oddity even for Emma. Kate and Sam had taken residence in chairs in the kitchen, recording every moment. Her father and stepfather also sat at the table, while Claire, Ellie, and her mother stood near with glasses of wine in their hands.

Emma crossed over to Owen, placing the cake down on the high chair tray in front of their now one year old daughter. "Happy birthday dear Ella, happy birthday to you~" Everyone cheered as they watched the one year old stare at the cake in front of her, not knowing what to do.

Everyone waited and watched her, waiting for her to grab a handful of the cake so they could cheer even more. Instead, the child began to frown from all the attention she was receiving, it was the most she'd ever gotten. It was overwhelming. Tears ruptured from her eyes as well as wail from her lips earning a few coos from her grandmother and Claire.

Owen seemed to panic, Sam was video taping all of it and he could see him place an uncomfortable smile on his face while Kate snickered from behind her phone. "Ella, doll, don't worry." Emma crooned, trying to calm her daughter down from her hysteric crying. She watched as Owen crouched down on his knees in front of her crib, drawing her upset attention to him.

"Hey," He smiled at his daughter, watching large tears fall from her blue eyes like her mother's. He grabbed on to the sides of the plate that held the cake made for her on it, earning a questioning look from Emma. Within a blink of an eye he slammed his face down into the cake, covering his face in nothing but pink frosting and vanilla cake. He raised up and looked towards Ella who had stopped crying to look at him with a puzzled look on her face, looking like she was about to cry.

"Owen, dammit..." Emma hissed as she placed palm to her forehead, as Kate began cackling loudly. Ella reached out her hand towards her fathers face, grabbing the pink frosting off of his face. "It's daddy," He cooed at her, with a smile, making her erupt with tiny giggles. She went into a breathless laugh as Roscoe pounced up on Owen and began licking the frosting off of his face.

Watching the spectacle made Emma laugh along with everyone else, which Owen caught sight of as she tried to hide her smile behind her hand that beheld her wedding ring. He quickly rose to his feet, smirking at her as he rounded the high chair towards her as Ella began eating fistfuls of cake. "Owen, I swear to god," She emptily threatened as she saw the cocky smirk through the frosting.

He latched on to her waist, holding her in place as he tried to kiss her as she nervously laughed, leaning back to avoid his face. She couldn't stop laughing which made her weak, he snuck in and placed a frosting filled kiss on her cheek causing her to shriek in disgust. "You're disgusting." She complained, wiping the frosting off of her face with her hand as she headed into the kitchen to grab the cake for everyone to eat.

"But you married me," He replied as followed her into the kitchen to help. Emma hummed at the phrase. "We had a big wedding and everything, Elvis officiated it," Owen droned on as he leaned up against the entrance, admiring her. She rolled her eyes as she grabbed the cake and walked past him towards the dining room. "I don't remember Elvis. I remember a judge and two witnesses that they provided us." She replied setting the cake down on the table and telling everyone to dig in.

She crossed the room back over to her husband, handing him a napkin to wipe his face off with. "Please don't say anything like that, you know my mother is paranoid about that. She thinks I didn't invite her to our wedding but we didn't have one. So please stop." She begged him, with pleading blue eyes.

He couldn't help but smile as he wiped the frosting off of his face, he was looking between Emma and Ella and noticed the similarities between the two. "Anything for you." Owen obeyed, swooping his face down in for a light hearted kiss before taking his spot next to Ella to help her eat her cake and to babble at her.

Emma smiled at the two, her heart swelling with joy and love. With everything that happened in the past she never thought she'd make it here, to see everyone's faces with smiles on them having a good time. "So you're actually happy living here?" Ellie asked her from beside, offering her a piece of cake.

Emma smiled at the question, once again looking around at everyone's smiling faces. Faces that wouldn't be here if she had never ventured to the island in the first place. Emma nodded her head as she smiled looking at her daughter and her new husband babbling at each other. She felt an eternal love burn inside of herself for them, she'd love them until the sky was no more."Yes. I am."
