Erin's POV:

I woke up from the sound of my alarm going off telling me to get ready for school. I slammed my hand on the button to get it to stop going off than pulled my pillow over my head making a loud groan. School was today and it wasn't that exciting for me. First day of school is usually the worse part of moving. Meeting new teachers, getting lost, and worse of all meeting new people. Everyone would have friends to talk to and I'll just be all alone.

I crawled out of bed heading into the bathroom for a shower. Once I finished getting ready for school I grabbed my book bag and stomped down the stairs. My so called father had made eggs and bacon for my mother and I but I just walked passed them so I can get out the house. I never got along with my step dad. Two years ago he started dating my mother which was the grossest thing ever! Well it worked out unfortunately so now I'm here in some new town! I grabbed the doorknob twisting it to open quickly rushing before someone called for me. I ran down the porch and grabbed my skateboard skating away on my way to the new school.

So far school hasn't been so bad! Lots of the people were different here. One that caught my eyes the most had red spiky hair. He sat across from me and we both stared at each other. It wasn't even a death stare! The bell rung and it was time for math class to start. I sat there not paying attention to the lesson at all! Class went by slowly making me more and more impatient. The only thought I had in mind was friends. Would I make any friends or will I just be one of those people who are an outcast?

Class was finally over and I managed to make it through a few other classes as well. Lunch time it was and all the tables in the lunch room was filled with people! I stood in the door way of the cafeteria suddenly feeling a light tap on the shoulder. I turned to see the boy who kept staring at me during 1st period. He had a little smirk on his lips and chuckled "Well I haven't seen you around here before". My eyes looked to my side not making eye contact to the boy. I wasn't embarrassed nor was I shy to speak to him. I just gave him a simple smile and spoke in a clear voice "Well I am new around here so that must be why you haven't seen me". He held out his hand to offer and said "Well new girl how about you and I get to know each other so you can go home telling mommy you made a friend". I rolled my eyes at him taking his hand while he led me to a lunch table "New girl has a name!" I shouted so he can hear. When we sat down at his lunch table he gave me the same little smirk he had before. "The names Axel got it memorized?" I couldn't help but to grin at him introducing himself. "Well Axel the name is Erin and you better have that memorized!" Axel laughed at my response taking his lunch out his book bag digging into his food. I could already tell we'd make the best of the friends from our actions and topics we shared about. We got along perfectly fine and for the rest of the day I had classes with him so I was able to tease him in all the classes!
