chapter 1

Monday morning Christa and Neal lay in each other's arms after a lovely passionate night together, as neal lay sleeping peacefully like a baby, Christa stared at him thinking about the new man in her life and how it is different from when she was married, as she lay there she felt something strange happening to her body, she feels something trailing up the back of her throat, she gets the urge to vomit, she climbs out of bed and she walks to the bathroom, she closes the door quietly so that she doesn't wake up her boyfriend, she kneels in front of the toilet and she empties her stomach.

10 minutes later Christa emerges from the bathroom, she climbs back in bed and cuddles up next to her man like nothing ever happened but what she doesn't know is that neal heard her being sick in the bathroom but he chooses to not mention it since he knew she would talk to him eventually.

5:30 am

Neal: morning babe time to wake up( places a kiss to Christa's lips).

Christa: oh is it morning already.

Neal: yep and its time to get up.

Christa: great.

Christa climbs out of bed wishing she could just climb back into bed and curl up under the covers all day since her body ached and she still felt nauseous from earlier.

Neal starts to make breakfast but he only makes toast since he thinks she might not want something like pancakes for break fast.

Christa gets changed and heads to the kitchen where she finds him buttering toast.

Neal: breakfast.

Christa: nah am not hungry I will get something at work.

Neal: okay well then lets go to work.

Christa: sure thing

soon the two doctors are leaving neal apartment and heading to work.

angels memorial hospital

Christa and Neal walk into the hospital together, but since they came out as a couple a few weeks ago no one was bothered about them, but Leanne spotted the two walking in but for her she noticed something else, she seen her residents pale complexion and she new her resident shouldn't be working today, she thinks to herself I should talk to her or neal see what is going on there.

Neal comes out of the changing rooms after changing his scrubs, just as he is about to get his first patient of his shift he is bombarded by questions from Leanne.

Leanne: Neal we need to talk.

Neal: and what a good morning to you to Leanne and how may I help you(in  a sarcastic tone).

Leanne: well you can start by telling me what you know about your girlfriend.

Neal: what you getting at?

Leanne: oh please tell me you haven't noticed that she looks sick and probably shouldn't be working.

Neal: I know I haven't spoken to her I thought she will speak to me when she is ready.

Leanne: what do you mean?

Neal: she was throwing up this morning she tried being quiet but I heard her, and she didn't eat breakfast, dont know whats wrong with her.

Leanne: oh so she is sick and you let her work.

Neal: if she gets worse then I will speak to her anyway I dont think she is contagious.
