I'm just a girl,
in this shallow world,
I'm just a girl,
after all,
how can I make a difference,
how will I,
why would I,
can I even change the world,
& in the end,
how will I know if I changed the world,
if I'm dead, after all,
I'm just a girl,
in this cruel world.
If I lift a finger,
will it help,
or will it hurt,
By not doing anything,
will it hurt,
or will it prevent the worst.
People say,
to stand up to others,
People say,
to be brave,
But everything is harder than it looks,
Why would I,
try If nothing can get better.
Why,
Would,
I,
Try?
Because, after all, I'm just a girl,
In this cruel world.

I didn't really base this song off of anything in general. I really just did it based on what people do and say to others. When I say "I'm just a girl", it means, a lot of young kids are put in tough spots and they don't know what to do. When I say, " Will it hurt, or will it prevent the worst", means that people say if you see bullying you should help right away. In stories, people help and the bully goes bye bye! But that's in stories, not in real life. Standing up may just hurt the victim more. That also relates to the phrase "People say to stand up to others, People say to be brave, But everything is harder than it looks." I put this song in my other book called "Like Shattered Glass". You can go check it out and I'd like some feedback! Thanks!
