The day is finally here. The day you have been questioning all summer.

*Tapes up the last box*
"Are you sure you want to do this?" your mother asked.
"Yes"
"Promise?"
"Of course"
You felt horrible lying to my mom but you knew she wouldn't let you go if you said no.

"Alright just five more minutes and everything is gonna be packed up and sent over. You're gonna be there first before all your stuff so make sure you have what you need for the first night." Your father said
"Thanks"
You come from a rich family. You always had everything you wanted. Expect for friends and siblings.

You hug your mother tightly and tell her everything's gonna be okay. You tell your father to take care of her and you'll see them soon.
"Goodbye, and don't forget to call"
Your mom said as she wipes her tears

You say your goodbyes and get in the Taxi.
Strangely driving away made you feel amazing and not sad. Saying goodbye to a town that never welcomed you. Goodbye to a life you felt that wasn't yours.

-48 hrs later-
*Locks apartment door*
*unboxes the blow up bed*
You look around your stale apartment. When you walk in the apartment you enter the living room. To the right is the kitchen and the left is you're bedroom and bathroom. When you look out you're bedroom window you see the other apartments above and the street full of life below.

You try to fall asleep but it's your first night away from home. Far away from home. You decide to go out into the town. What's amazing about where you live is that everything is in walking distance. Bars, clubs, shops, food stores, libraries and school. You walk to the closest food store to get snacks. As you look around you see nothing but young adults that look about your age this makes you excited. You buy a box of beers and some fruits and junk food. When you walk out you see a lesbian couple holding hands. You begin to stare at them. It's not that you feel uncomfortable it's that you've never seen a gay couple back home. Something about seeing them makes you feel upset like maybe you wish that it was you.

You have never dated before just one night stands but that's the way you wanted it. You never really tried to date because you never felt connected. But breathing this new air makes you feel like you just started your life and you are now ready for anything and everything. As you walk home with your groceries in you're hands you look up in the windows. You see parties and different kinds of people. You go home and and unpack what you can into the bathroom and bedroom. Tomorrow you will go out to buy kitchen appliances and more food.

* You fall asleep pretty late and wake up early to a knock on the door *

it's the rest of your stuff this makes you happy cause now you feel more at home. You hang up all of you're clothes and put you're pants and leggings into drawers and shoes onto racks. you exit your walk in closet and set up your tv in the living room. You're still missing a bed and a vanity and some living room furniture and a whole lot more. You go out to the store and buy a big comfy bed and a make up chairs along with some things to make your room look like you. That includes some posters of your favorite rock bands and lights and black curtains with a small coach. You also buy a big coach for your living room with a coffee table and some plants and everything you'll need for your kitchen. Since your apartment is so close they agreed with a little extra cash they will set everything up in the next four hours so you have some time to kill.

You go to the grocery store and buy lots of food and snacks and of course some more beer along with some cigarettes. You go to the Library and get a couple of books. Across the street you notice a music store. You go in and buy a guitar. You have been playing the guitar for years but stopped to focus on school work so this makes you very happy. When you come home everything is all set up and you've never felt more at home. But you notice the curtains to your bedroom window is not hanging right come soon to find out it's broken but you don't mind to much. You have two more days until school starts which you are very nervous for. You have had a very long day and decide to get some rest but you begin to think about something you've never been in which was a relationship maybe that was something you really wanted. It's all you can think about as you fall asleep. You wake up in the middle of the night and look out your window you see something that makes your heart stop. It was a girl that lived right across from you. She was looking down to the street. She was beautiful maybe waking up at this time was a sign. She looks up at you and waves and smiles. You wave back and smile suddenly you feel something you have never felt before something that made you happy but also scared. You go back to bed with a full smile on your face. Excited to wake up.
