Gretchen had received a text saying Sinister and everyone was getting ready to pull up. Apparently they'll be having a house full. Her father was okay with it though. They were family and want to meet their new family members. Her kids and her waited at the door along with her father, godfather and best friend whose children were standing there as well. Their servants were also waiting so they could help unload cars and show everyone to their rooms. She heard the crunching of gravel before she saw the cars. That's when three cars pulled up. The rounded the circle driveway to come to a stop in front of the porch. That's when all the doors opened and people started pouring out.
"Wow, didn't think this many would come even though it was implied," her father, Walter, chuckled.
"I know. But I guess this is the most immediate family. Though apparently Carmens brother has kids, they just left them at home. They didn't want to come," Gretchen stated to her father.
"Well lets get them settled," her godfather, Hans, said. Walter waved to the workers and soon bags were being brought in as well as people being ushered in. She looked right to Sinister. Just as big as she remembered. Then she shifted her eyes and seen his wife. She was beautiful.
"Hello, you must be Gretchen," Carmen said walking straight to her with her hand out. Gretchen grasped her hand.
"Yes and you must be Carmen. It's nice to meet you," Gretchen smiled. Her eyes shifted to the father if her children. She released Carmens hand.
"Sinister. Still as huge as ever I see," Gretchen said. "Maybe even bigger. Surprised you haven't crushed your poor wife," Gretchen smirked.
"Why does everyone make fun of me being so big? I can't help it you know," Sinister whined.
"We know but it's fun making fun of you. Also notice you're going bald," Gretchen smirked bigger. Laughter erupted around them.
"Oh my! I think we're going to be great friends. Glad there is someone else who can make fun of him with me," Carmen choked out laughing.
"Oh help me now!" Sinister mumbled.
"It is fun huh?" Gretchen asked his wife. Carmen just nodded.
"Okay where are my kids at?" Sinister changed the subject with a sour look on his face. Gretchen sobered and stepped aside to show her children. She looked to the father of her children and saw his eyes misting.
"I really am sorry for keeping them away but like I said I had the reasons," she told him with a lump in her throat.
"No, I understand. It makes sense why and I agree. With that jackass on the loose, I wouldn't have wanted them involved in my life at the time. Not many people scare me but your family does. And nope I like breathing," Sinister told her.
"I'm just grateful we get to meet them. And they get to meet their siblings," Carmen stated. "And no I will never have a problem with Sinister coming to his children. Or coming here to see them. I understand I'm the stepmother and I will never overstep that boundary," Carmen made sure to clarify for everyone.
"I seriously appreciate that Carmen. The kids and I have talked about this. If they are with you by themselves they know to listen and follow the rules. I told them you are their stepmother and they need to respect that aspect. And they do," Gretchen said.
"How about we head inside?" her father Walter suggested. Soon everyone filed into the living room. Bodies taking up various areas and seating places. Gretchen told her kids to go sit by their father. She could tell how happy they are to finally met him. Lena plopped right into his lap like she has been doing it forever. Finn actually sat in Carmens lap. She saw their stepmothers eyes water and it made her smile.
