Chapter Six ♥

Alex's POV

     I make my way down the hallway and knock on Liam and I's door, praying that he'll answer. I wait a few minutes and knock again, this time I hear Liam call from inside, "I'm coming!"

He opens the door and gives me a funny look.

"I know I look like crap, I slept over at my friends house." I say, giving no further explanation. I walk into the room, grab my bag, and walk into the bathroom to shower before he has a chance to question me.

  I take a quick shower, washing my hair, body, and I run the razor over the stubble on my legs. I shrug on my jean button-up shirt, my beige skirt and my brown belt. I curl my hair and apply neutral makeup, consisting of clear lip gloss, mascara, and eyeliner. 

I walk into the living room only to find Liam, Niall, Harry, and Louis sitting on the couch watching a game of football [soccer]

"Ugghh," I groan, "Great, you guys are here." I say with a sarcastic eye-roll.

"I bet you'd be in a better mood if Zayn was here." Harry says, smirking at me.

"Shut your face, Styles." I say, flipping him off. He chuckles at me and says, "You know, My mum always said that if a girl was rude to you, it means that she likes you." I scoff. "Really?" I laugh, "Because I've noticed that if a girl is rude to a guy, it normally means that she thinks the guy is a dick." I roll my eyes at him.

"Well then I'm sure that you'd like to be informed that I'm absolutely not a dick." He chuckles again and goes back to watching his game. 

"Whatever." I take a seat on the chair next to the couch, My phone vibrates with a text. I unlock my phone to find a text from Zayn.

Zayn* Hey Alex. It's five now.. The movie starts at six if you still want to go see it.

Me* Okay. Come by my room around 5:30?

Zayn* See ya then. :)

Me*  :)

I watch the game until I hear a knock on the door. Before I have a chance to open it, Liam gets up and answers the door.

"Zayn? I thought you didn't want to watch the game with us?" Liam asks him with confusion clear on his face.

"Oh I still don't... I came here to get Alex Leigh. We're going to the movies." He says, blushing a little bit.

"What?" Harry sounds a little more surprised than he should and his expression is something I can't put my finger on.. He quickly recovers from his confusion and takes this opportunity to make fun of me.. of course.

"Awh Alex! I told you that you loved Zayn. See? I'm never wrong." He smiles cheekily at me. I roll my eyes at him and I grab my purse and walk to stand next to Zayn.

"Don't even start that crap," I say.

"Are you ready to go, Alex?" Zayn asks me.
"Yes." He leads the way down the hallway, through the lobby, and into the parking lot.

Zayn walks me to my room after the movie.

"I had a good time, Alex Leigh. Thanks for going with me." He grins shyly.

"No, problem, I had fun, too." I smile at him. He leans toward me, and kisses my cheek. I blush furiously.

"Goodnight, Alex Leigh." He smiles at me and turns, walking to his room, not giving me a chance to reply.

Harry's POV

"What?" Shit.. I wasn't supposed to say that out loud... um..

"Awh Alex! I told you that you loved Zayn. See? I'm never wrong." I smile a her. She rolls her eyes at me and says, "Don't even start that crap."

"Are you ready to go, Alex?" Zayn asks her, smiling down at her. I swear he's a whole foot taller than her.

"Yes." He puts his hand on her back and guides her out of the room, shutting the door behind them. So Zayn and Alex are a thing now? Wow.  He told me he liked her.. when was it? Oh yeah, He told me that he liked her when she was training for the bodyguard gig when we were on the Up All Night Tour.. unfortunately for him, she hated all of us.. until now, apparently. I shouldn't have tried to kiss her the other day. I would have kissed her if the idiots hadn't come barging through the room. I'm glad they did.. it would have been awkward. God I'm such a fuck up. Now my chances with her are shot. She probably thought I was some idiot when I showed up on her flight. Her dad didn't ask me to do that.. I did it because I wanted to spend time with her. I flew straight to London just to get on her flight. I'm such a weird freak. Oh my god I --

"Harry.." Niall says, snapping me out of my thoughts, waving his hand in front of my face.

"What?" I ask, a little surprised.

"Dude, I've been calling your name for ten minutes. Derby just made the winning goal!" He says, excitedly.

"What? Oh, sorry man.." I say. He gives me a weird look and says, "You were thinking about her, weren't you? I know you like her. Man, we all do. We aren't stupid." Liam and Louis shook their heads, agreeing with him.

"So I may have a little crush.. What's wrong with that?" I feel my face flush.

"There's nothing wrong with it... But am I the only confused one here? Alex said that she had a boyfriend.. and now she is going on a date with Zayn. She said that her and her boyfriend had been dating since the Up All Night Tour.. Do you guys think--" I cut Louis off, "Don't finish that sentence. No they aren't dating. Zayn was dating Perrie the entire Take Me Home Tour..." I say.

"Well, last night when we were watching the movie, Alex stepped out of the room to take a phone call... about five minutes later Zayn walked out of the room, and neither of them ever came back. Plus, This morning around noon, Alex knocked on the door.. to her own room. She looked like she had just woken up and she said that she'd stayed the night at a friend's house..." Liam doesn't finish his train of thought.

"So what are you saying? That they were together last night? Like, together together?" I ask.

"I'm not saying that..."

"But you were implying it." I press.

"How can you not put two and two together? Zayn and Alex leave in the middle of the movie, and we don't see them again until around noon the next day. What do you think happened?" He says, and to my dismay, proves his point. They weren't together, I know it. I don't know how I know it, but I do.
