Chapter 1: How The Day Went to Hell.

Emberly's POV

  "Today didn't go exactly as planned." I think while watching Vivien and Scarlette bicker.
"Are you sure I can't punch him in the face?" Vivien pleads while looking around at us all hoping someone would be on her side, Scarlette rolled her eyes and exasperatedly said " Yes I'm sure like  I've said for the past two hours Vivien!" Vivien slumped into her seat and pouted then she jerked her head up   ".....What if I just break his nose a little bit?" She tries to bargain.
  "VIVIEN! HE'S 8 YEARS OLD! YOU'RE AN ADULT YOU IDIOT NOT TO MENTION A WEREWOLF WITH STRENGTH!" Avianna protested in shock; even though I honestly don't know why for as long as I can remember Vivien has been the spitfire that acted first before thinking things through in our friend group.
  I also understand where she is coming from, that boy was picking on Samuel and as big sisters it's our job to be the only ones to be allowed to bother our siblings. A quick shake of my head to erase my thoughts and hear Viv exclaim " Oh, come on! What says friendship like planning a murder together!" I decided I should probably join this conversation now.
"What happened to only punching the kid Viv? Don't you think you're taking this to extremes, I mean look Samuel isn't even upset anymore." I blurted out hoping to end this before claws come out (and yes pun intended) and point in Sam's direction and he's just sitting in front of Connell's baby swing blabbing away about who knows what with Connell gurgling.
We see the fight leave her shoulders as she slumps down and sighs "I'm just trying to be the parents he deserves and I had." I trade sad looks with Scar and Avia before we squish together with Viv on the couch and just hold each other while thinking about how our lives changed so dramatically in just a month.
  Scarlette stands up immediately with a look on her face we know too well. "Well I believe this calls for our old time emergency JFMO's nights girls." She stated and I fully agreed, quickly looking over at Avia and Viv they nodded eagerly as well. " Alright girls then let's get it started, Vivien you are to go to the store and grab the Junk Food. Avianna you will search for a Movie and only funny ones allowed take my car. Lastly Emberly you hunt down the perfect Onesies for us all." Scarlette barked out like a drill sergeant, we all stood and saluted and dispersed.

  I headed to Walmart and reminded myself to be wary of my surroundings since technically we were on the top 4 packs soil just without their knowledge but hey what they don't know won't hurt them right? I reached Walmart and parked my car, with a deep breath I climbed out and headed inside on my very important mission. Making a straight beeline for the women's sleepwear so I don't get sidetracked I failed to notice the 4 men watching me.
  " Oh my there is a cow onesie! Avianna would love that one, there is a dinosaur one well obviously it's for me, hmmm is that a moose ones....." I mumbled then felt the presences of 4 males behind me. Slowly I turn around hoping it's not creeps, I'm met with a broad chest and give a little squeak when I realize that 1. They all look strong  2. Very tall men(annoyed with that honestly) and 3. They smelled like werewolves.
  I finally decided I need to look at their faces and looked up, titling head back to actually see this giants face and I blurt "I don't have girl scout cookies!" If I wasn't so terrified I'd be laughing with the reactions I saw on their faces. The guy standing in front just looked so dumbfounded and his friends amused, about what I honestly don't know; I wave my hand in his face and get nothing a little worried I lean to the side and whispered "I think I broke him." to his friends who start howling with laughter.
"Talin, my man you got yourself a good one!" The tall blonde guy smacks whom I now know as Talin. He shakes his head and chuckles before looking into my eyes and opens his mouth to speak; (and I want you to know I will deny my heart's reaction when he spoke for years from now understand) "Well little one you are a very interesting mate and I can't wait to learn more." He said with a heartbreaking laugh and smile. I stare dazed like until I register what he said and snap my head back up to actually look in his eyes and hear my wolf howl in my head in joy, we've found our mate. My face turns red and I step away a few feet and fumble for my phone and start dialing Scar and the other girls, I put them on speaker waiting for one to answer immediately.
"Hey crazy bitch! Whatcha need we're just waiting for the onesies girl!" Vivien screeches, I wince along with the 3 guys and my mate. "Uh Scar we have a situation. I'm surrounded by 4 men and one is my mate. I need help. " I mumbled hoping they aren't listening in. " Emberly, I need you to rush back home now. We don't know these guys and I'm not risking our lives mate or not. " Scarlette states, I want to protest because of the mate bond but I also agree with her. I assure the girls I was going to be home shortly and ended the call before taking a deep breath and turn around to face the men.
"As lovely as it is to meet you all I've got places to be and people to NOT see so....see ya never again? Sounds good? okay, bye." I blurt out and sprint away.
I hear Talin growl and it almost made me stop in my tracks but I pushed on hoping to make it to my vehicle before they catch me. It seemed like the Moon Goddess was in my favor because I made it to my car and was peeling out of the parking lot when they busted outside and saw me flying out of there.

   I made it home and rush upstairs to the apartment pounding on the door. Avia yanks open the door and pulls me in before slamming the door and locking it. "Are you okay?! How did you not notice 4 werewolves when you got to the store! I'm so glad you're okay, what does you're mate look like????" They pelted me with all these questions at once I swear I felt my head spin. "Yes I'm fine, I don't know I'm sorry, and thanks he was so good looking." I rattled off without stopping for a breath.
  "Do you think he will find you?" Vivien questioned wondering what we all were. "We'll jump that hurdle when it happens for now I believe we just need to sit and breathe." Scarlette sighs. We all sit and just ponder things that just happened and questioned if it was still safe here. Next thing we hear was knocking on our door, we all bolt up and snap our eyes to the door freaking out who it could be. Slowly Vivien slides to the door and hesitates to open it. "What should we do?" Avia whispered to Scarlette and we all look at her. She takes a deep breath and slumps her shoulders and says "Open the door we have no way to escape and we can't jump out the window with the kids. " Vivien nods and starts to open the door, and all I can think is "This day sure went to hell."
