"Venus, darling I do believe that it is time for you to awake" a soothing voice echoed from somewhere in my chambers, it reminded me of my mothers but she was never this kind or calm when it came to retrieving me from my bed after I had inevitably missed the sound of my alarm prior-

"Venus! How many more times do I have to call until you finally rise from your endless slumber?!" there it is, the deadly edge to my mothers voice that I have luckily grown very accustomed to over all 18 years of my life. "Mmm yes mother, I'm awake" unfortunately. Oh the amount of blood I would spill for a few more hours of blissful sleep, but alas my eyes open slowly as my dark lashes obscure my vision for no longer than a second.

Once my clouded vision returned clearly I was finally able to see the two other figures standing near the door of my chamber, I turned to look at my mother with an eyebrow raised in question. "Venus these guards are here to escort you. You have been summoned to Norta" I could've sworn that the corners of her mouth had lifted whilst speaking, my eyes widened and my heart jumped, it had been six years since I had last traveled to the city Norta and seen the two royal brothers let alone the king and queen of the north. It broke my heart the day I was forced to move to our new home, actually home would be an understatement, it was more like a massive modern art museum that just happened to contain some of my personal belongings. Not that I had many to begin with. I knew that there was a proper reason behind it and the mansion here is much better than the one I grew up in but that didn't change the fact that moving away from the two princes upset me greatly.

"Mother this is so unexpected and wonderful I can hardly wait to begin the travel, but why and by whom have I been summoned by?" my voice held a sense of happiness and excitement in it which was different in comparison to my normal sharp tone that many grew used to. My legs slowly slipped out from beneath the warm covers and into the morning air causing bumps to rise up my exposed skin. "By the prince's of course, I suppose they truly missed you since they nearly demanded that you be escorted back as soon as you awoke this morning. I told you that they could never forget you. I mean how could anyone forget this flawless beauty" her long fingers grasped my chin and tilted my head up as she spoke with a slight smirk, but what she had obviously forgotten is that the last time I had seen the two boys that were now nearly fully grown men was when I was a mere child with innocent doe like features.

Now after years of skin treatment, maturity and makeup, my face and body has changed quite dramatically. Many people grew envious of me but those few who simply appreciated my beauty complimented me on my toned hourglass figure, feline shaped eyes, full lips, high cheekbones, shapely jaw, straight nose and long silky jet black hair. When the princes and I were children we were known as the raven trio since our hair was as black as a ravens feathers, it was a rather funny group name and it stuck for a while, until I left.

"Whatever you say mother" I looked over towards the guards and sent a small nod their way, "I shall be ready in a few minutes, I must pack-" I had hardly finished speaking when the taller more burly guard stepped forward and cut me off with his deep rugged voice "My lady, I have been informed to tell you that no extra clothes are needed since the royal family shall provide you with shops fu of clothes worthy of your taste and limitless money for you to spend whilst there" I let out a breath and began to walk to my walk in wardrobe, "Is that so? And who told you this?" the guard paused for a second before responding "Prince Maven, madam". Oh.

My silver gown brushed against the concrete and blew in the wind along with my hair as I neared the jet that was to deliver me to Norta alongside the two guards that I had finally learnt the names of, James the leaner guard with less facial hair and Demitri the much more built and hairy guard. Despite being royal guards they certainly didn't back down from speaking openly around me to themselves, unlike most, others usually sat in silence when escorting me around villages and to marketplaces and shops, and only spoke when asked a question.

The trip was surprisingly quick and before I knew it my guards were ushering me around the landing pad, in and out of doors and finally into the city. From there the three of us were accompanied with a couple other guards that lead me into a shiny black vehicle that only silvers were given the opportunity to use. To which I was more than happy to enter along with my guards, although I would prefer to be alone the thought of seeing Maven and Cal is enough to keep me from making a complaint about the excessive amount of guards that have made themselves welcome in the extra seats. I was content with sitting in silence with only my thoughts to listen to but the guards obviously decided that I was seemly fine with them starting up a loud conversation that rudely ripped me from my thoughts, oh how wrong they were. "The next word any of you say will inevitably be your last" my voice was velvet and almost sensual except for the dark undertone whilst my dark green eyes reflected coldness as I glared through my lashes, luckily for them all the guards came to their senses and instantly shut up and the only sign that they weren't statues was the prominent fear in their eyes as they flickered between each other along with the slight movement of their breathing and blinking, I couldn't help but let my smirk spread across my dark red stained lips.

The now deathly silent guards emptied out of the car and opened my door for me as I slid off the leather seats and stood on the concrete in front of the massive mostly glass and marble mansion that I spent most of my childhood in. The mere sight of the exterior brought back many bright memories, the inside would surely bring back more. I was so deeply lost in my thoughts that I overlooked the shadowy figure that stood behind the large frosted glass double door entry, but I had instantly snapped out of my trance once the doors opened and revealed a tall, lean figure with midnight black hair and icy blue eyes that could most definitely freeze a wild fire and restart it again viciously.

"Maven?"
