As we walked down the halls in silence I started to recognize my surroundings, "Although I am beyond glad to have stumbled across your room, I am slightly embarrassed that I was so close to stepping into familiar territory" I said with a light laugh to brighten the mood, to which Maven responded handsomely "So close, yet so far" His chuckle caused the corners of my mouth to rise instantly.

"That's always how it is, I was once coming home from a quick spar when I found myself going down an unfamiliar street and soon enough I was beyond lost, thank the gods I have the power to manipulate metal otherwise I would've been stranded there for hours" Maven turned to me with raised perfectly plucked bushy black eyebrows and a pearly white smile, "Do continue" My responding smile matched his "Well I had to get home urgently, walking around in heels is not something you want to walk in for hours when stressed. So I well- took the metal from lampposts along the streets and used them to get above the houses for me to see whereabouts my house was" We we're both laughing at this point.

It felt good, to laugh and talk with my old friend like it was only yesterday that I left. "Don't lie, how far away were you?" "Around three streets awa-" I couldn't finish my sentence before both Maven and I erupted into laughter from the sheer stupidity. The silence was filled and the halls echoed with laughter and our voices, stories from our past were brought up and plans for the future were discussed. I have never been more thankful to have gotten lost in my entire life before.

Once we had made it to the door of my chambers for the second time in one day I almost felt sad to have to part with the dark prince and step into a room of silence. "How long shall I wait until I come to fetch you? Wouldn't want you getting lost again now would we?" the small playful almost boyish smirk looked good on Maven, "Shut up.. maybe ten minutes will do" I didn't want to get caught off guard trying to get into the dreaded body suit that Queen Elara had so graciously gifted to me so ten minutes seemed like long enough to get changed and sort out my hair and my choice as to who I should ride with. Such a small decision could make quite the impact.

After Maven had left five minutes had passed and there I stood in horror staring into a mirror at the beautifully yet sensually made suit, is it too late to take it back?, that thought kept on bouncing around my brain as the tightness and form of the suit really accentuated my figure, quite perfectly actually if my plan was to seduce the princes but surprisingly it wasn't.

"What have you gotten yourself into Venus?" Another minute and I had finished stressing over the bodysuit. Hair, what to do with my hair? Leaving it down would make it all too sexy and the wind would mess it up very easily, and depending how I'm riding it may go into Maven's face- Wait, Maven? It seemed like my brain had already decided who I was riding with. After taking a deep breath I raked my fingers through my hair and slowly began to braid it back loose enough that it wasn't pulling too tightly at my scalp but tight enough to make my hair curly by tomorrow morning if I keep it in. Which I never actually end up doing for some reason?

Another five minutes must've passed since the sound of hard knuckles rapped on the back of the wooden door connecting the hallway to my grand bedroom. The silver blood rushed from my face and burst into a swarm of butterflies that flies around wildly in my stomach, the hair on the back on my neck seemed to stand on edge, why must the simplest things that involve that man make me feel like a jittering teen awaiting to see her crush at training.

"Just one moment!" I called as I checked my appearance for the millionth time already before feeling satisfied enough after pulling a few hairs astray, it made hardly any difference but made me feel better so who cares. Bracing myself as I pretended to seem very focus with the beds of my nails, I willed the metal of the handles to turn and unlock letting the wooden heavy doors swing slowly open.
