Her True Soulmate

Chapter 18

The elders introduce themselves to everyone.

"Well let's begin." elder Marc's says. "This is a hearing on who this pack actually belongs to correct?" He ask us.

"Yes sir." Landon says. He nods an okay.

"And who is her mate?" elder Roy ask.

I am." both Landon and Daniel says at the same time.

"Hmm sounds like we do have a dilemma." elder Travis says.

"Explain please." elder Marc says.

"On my sixteenth birthday I found my mate in my best friend." Daniel says pointing to me. I nod in agreement. "But I did something I regret. I stupidly rejected the best thing in my life." he says sadly. Oh god. How can he say that with Victoria sitting right there? Oh I get it. It's part of the plan. She's just sitting there smiling. I scoff.

"Your version." elder Roy says looking at me.

"He is right. He found his mate on his birthday on his birthday. Me." I say.

"Well then there's no question who the pack belongs too." elder Roy says. I hold up my hand stopping him from making his decision.

"There's more." I say. He nods. "But he is also wrong. He didn't stupidly rejected me. On my sixteenth birthday I was going to finally let him fully mate me because my father didn't want me to mate him at a young age and because I wasn't ready until then. So I went to his house where I found him and Victoria in bed with each other. Then the next day is when he rejected." I tell him.

"Well I'm sorry Alissa but the pack still belongs to him." he says sadly. Damien stands up.

"No sir. We believe that it was all a lie." he says. The elders look at him confused.

"How can it be a lie? Did you not feel the sparks?" elder Roy ask me.

"I did." I answer nodding.

"Well then." he says.

"Can I finish please." I huff. That's twice he interrupted me. Asshole.

"My apologize." he says. Better.

"I felt A spark." I say. They look at me confused. "See I was young. I just wanted my mate. What my parents had. I didn't think anything of it at the time because I was just to happy. Elder Roy, elder Marc, elder Travis when you found your mate did you feel the sparks though out your body, the instant attraction, instant feelings?" I ask them. They all nod. "Well see I didn't." I say. "Sure I felt a spark but it was only a spark every once in a while. I had attraction to him because face it he is a good looking guy but I never once wanted rip his clothes off and have my dirty way with him. I didn't have instant feelings for him. They grew but even then I didn't love him." I tell them honestly. They nod again.

Then they have a silent conversation.

"Who is your mate then?" elder Roy ask me.

"Landon is." I say pointing to Landon.

"No he isn't. I am!" Daniel yells.

"How do you know he is your true soulmate?" elder Travis ask me.

"Because I get all that with Landon." I tell them.

"No you don't." Daniel says. "You still love me. You won't even let him mark you." he huffs.

"That's because you screwed me up so bad I stopped believing in love and mates!" I growl at him.

"Why haven't you let him mark you?" elder Marc ask. I smile.

"Haven't you noticed I smell like Landon?" I ask them. They nod.

"Because he has been close to you all day." Daniel huffs.

"He has but explain this?" I ask lifting up the sleeve of my arm showing off my new tat.

"You went out and got a new tattoo." he says like its obvious. I roll my eyes.

"And this?" I ask moving my shirt aside so they can see my mark. He growls loudly.

"This is all a lie." he growls.

"No what was a lie was me believing you were my mate!" I growl back.

"How can you be so sure that Landon is your mate?" elder Roy ask me.

"Like I said I get all the mate stuff with Landon I didn't get with Daniel. I also get these dreams of our future together. Something else I never got with Daniel and some of them were pretty damn steamy too." I say.

"What took you so long mating with Landon?" elder Travis ask.

"Because I fought it. Like I said after what Daniel did to me I stopped believing in mates and love. Then I come back home and this idiot alpha claims me as his mate. I think not. I didn't understand it. I already had a mate I couldn't have another until Mom and Damien did research and found out a rejected mate can have a second chance mate. I still fought it. I still didn't believe it until I read it for myself. Then I believed it but I still fought it. I didn't want it but over time and after moms death I realized I did but we need more time. I needed more time. We needed to get to know each other. I needed to see he actually loved me." I say truthfully.

"He still doesn't. He is just after my pack." he says.

"No Daniel that's you. Your after his pack. He does love me. He has proved it on more than one occasion actually every day. He proved it by being there for me, taking care of me when my mother died. He has proved it by waiting for me, giving me time. He has proved it by not rushing me into anything. No matter how bad I tease him with sex he sits back and takes it. He could have forced me into mating but he didn't. Hell there was twice when he could have taken me and he didn't because he knew I wasn't ready." I say.

"What did Daniel gain from all this?" elder Marc ask.

"The pack someone must have told him that the pack belonged to him." I answer.

"Why do it now when he could have then?" he ask me.

"Because I never told him the pack was going to be his. So he didn't know until recently." I say.

They nod again going into a silent conversation.

"What brought up him being you true mate?" alpha Marc ask me. I sigh heavily.

"One day in class I feel asleep and started having this real erotic dream about Landon. Well it turned me on and Vance had to wake me up because it was effecting Landon apparently pretty bad. When he woke me up he told me I needed to calm myself down unless I wanted to be raped right there. I didn't understand it until Vance explained to me that my arousal effected my mate in ways that if I didn't calm down or let him take me I was in trouble. So I calmed down. After class Landon has me stay behind and ask me question about Daniels and I relationship. That's when he told me his theory. He thought Daniel might have been my second chance mate or not at all. Well I didn't believe him so I went and talked to mom and Damien. They wasn't for sure either but assumed it was possible. Then I had to agree. I mean seriously what mate bets his friends a thousand dollars to get his mate to say I love you? They wanted the nerd girl to tell the popular jerk I love you for a thousand dollars. And what mate screws around on his mate?" I ask rhetorically. So I think Daniel somehow planted those shocks or something for his bet." I finish.

"Okay I've heard enough." Roy's says glaring at Daniel.

"I think it's our decision that the pack stays where it belongs. In alpha Landon's command." elder Travis says. I smile brightly gloating.

"This is an out rage!" Daniel yells standing up. "It's illegal for them to be together!" he says.
