"Get out!" Kara bellowed. Alex saw Mon-El scurry out of the training room. She opened the door to see her sister punching concrete blocks.

"What happened?" Alex asked.

"He wanted to go on a date," Kara explained stopping and turning toward Alex.

"What's so bad about that?" Alex asked surprised. Kara thought for a moment thinking of the right thing to say.

"Not much really but, he kept asking and kept trying to convince me to go out with him." Kara answered only half lying.

"At this rate Kara you're gonna end up alone with 500 cats," Alex laughed.

"Whatever, Alex," Kara laughed back. She thought about the dates Alex had tried to set up for her but she'd always turned them down. She didn't know why Kara never took her up in the blind date offers, so she kept trying, all she wanted was for Kara to be happy.

"So, Kara we still on for sister night?" Alex asked bringing her out of her thoughts. Kara panicked a little remembering the plans she'd made with Lena that she couldn't cancel again. She quickly made up a lie.

"Actually, after the whole Mon-El thing I just wanna be alone tonight," she recovered.

"Oh, okay," Alex answered trying not to look hurt, "If you change your mind you know where to find me."

"Okay," Kara answered as Alex left the room. Kara punched the concrete block in front of her one last time and left for the locker room to shower.

As she was walking out of the DEO James called, his tone was different, she could hear the sadness in his voice, "Hey, Kara can you come to the office? I'd like to talk to you about a personal matter, please."

"Yeah I'll be there in about 15 mins," she responded.

She closed the door to James' office behind her, "What's up James?"

"Nothing I just needed someone to talk to," he confided. He sat on the couch in his office, his elbows resting on his knees. His fingers had laced themselves together so they wouldn't shake like they always did when his emotions were particularly strong like they were tonight.

"What about?" Kara asked.

"Lena...I miss her. I wanna ask her if we can try again but I haven't talked to her in while," he told her. Kara knew what he was thinking. He was thinking he'd go to Lena tell her he missed her. He'd tell her he'd made a mistake, he'd say he loved her, she'd say the same and they'd be happy again. But what he didn't know, along with everyone else in the world, was that in the months since their break-up she and Lena had been developing their own relationship. It was slow and steady but that's what Lena wanted, it was what she needed. The worst part about having to sit and listen to James' was that he didn't know how much he'd hurt Lena. He didn't know that he was one of the two people that Lena had said 'I love you' to, the other being Kara herself. James took his eyes off the floor to meet Kara's.

"I don't think it's a good idea for you to tell her that," Kara replied a little annoyed.

"Why?" James asked surprised.

"It's just not James. It's been 6 months. You haven't even been in the city since you broke up. She's happier now, the only thing telling her that is gonna do is hurt her worse," Kara told him growing more irritated.

"But I love her Kara! I want her back into my life!" James argued.

"James," Kara started, "she was everything you ever wanted...and everything you lost. She was the most love you'll ever feel. She was the greatest beauty you'll ever see. You're askin' me if you should get her back, I have to say no. You don't deserve someone who took in your pain as hers. A woman thought about you more than she thought about herself. A woman who let herself be broken by you so she could fix you. You don't deserve someone who, in a night, cried a million tears...and in the morning loved you even more. Regrets are part of a life lesson: sucks to suck. You lost a good person.....You see the difference between me and you is that I know that. You couldn't seem to understand that," she grabbed her purse and walked out of the office leaving James to think about her words.
