Diana walked with her head down towards her house. Her heart was still pounding, thinking about the kiss with Steve.
"Diana," Voices called her name from behind Diana. She turned around to see her brother and his friends peddling as fast as they could on there bikes
"What's wrong?" Diana asked as the four boys stopped beside her.
They explained to her what had happened to Will and Diana's first thought was if Jonathan knew. He had been gone with Nancy all day so she was not sure if he was anywhere near Hawkins.
Diana hopped on the back of James' bike after the boys had explained everything and caught their breaths. It was a cold ride back to the Green's house but Diana and James both had their minds on the Byer boys.
Once Diana arrived home, she immediately called the Byers house but no one picked up. Maybe Jonathan was with his family, she thought. Diana told herself she would stop by his house after school tomorrow.
Diana looked down at her watch that read 3:18. School had been out for a while and she had not seen Nancy or Jonathan all day. She knew she had to talk to the only person that knew Nancy as well as she did.
Thinking that the basketball players would be long gone by now, Diana pushed her way into the boy's locker room going to find Steve. Instead of an empty room, she was standing in front of the whole basketball team who were either half naked or had a towel wrapped around their waist.
She could feel her face growing red but pushed her embarrassment to the back of her mind and went to where Steve was standing with a white towel wrapped around his tiny waist in disbelief at what he was seeing.
"D, what the hell are you doing in here?" He whisper yelled at her.
"I need to talk to you." She said trying to ignore the boys around her laughing at the situation.
"Couldn't this wait-"
"Will had a bad episode yesterday and I can't get up with Nancy or Jonathan and I have no clue where they are," Diana said with seriousness in her eyes.
"Okay, look," Steve said pulling her behind a locker, out of everyone's sight, "I will go over to Nancy's house with you tonight and see what's going on."
"Thank you," Diana said sighing. She shamelessly looked at the boy's body in front of her and said, "cute outfit."
"Thanks, I'll let you borrow it sometime," Steve said laughing.
"I'll see you around 6?" She asked him.
"Yes, you will, in proper clothing."
Diana raised an eyebrow at him before brushing past him and out of the boy's locker room. Steve couldn't help but watch every step she took.
"It's just not your week is it Harrington?" Billy asked stepping in front of where Steve was looking.
"Billy, it's not what it looks like-" Steve started.
"Man, I don't care if you are with Diana or Nancy or whoever, Diana was just a hookup anyways," Billy interrupted, starting to dress, "Just pick one so I get to fuck the other okay?"
Steve clenched his fist to prevent himself from punching Billy in his pretty face.
"Don't touch either one of them," Steve warned.
"You have to pick one eventually Steve. You can't keep playing yourself forever."
Steve slammed his locker shut and went into a bathroom stall to change.
As shitty as Billy is, he was right. Steve knew he needed to get his thoughts straight and go after the girl he wanted.
