Dr. Jacob Bunsen was a scientist who worked for the government under a department that was technically not supposed to exist. No one knew of its name- except Bunsen and a couple of superior officers, but this department was only referred by the alpha numeric code number C30G. C30G was a top-secret operation funded by the government and its primary aim was to figure out ways to keep the rule of the government consistent and eliminating all sources of opposition and rebellious action. Dr. Bunsen was one of the few under this rule who was all human, without a bit of machine in his body. The rest of the country had resorted to the modern techniques to get rid of all weaknesses from their body—so that they could live hassle free and longer lives. The idea of fusing machines with the human body was the brainchild of Dr. Bunsen himself. He performed countless surgeries on people of all ages before the government discovered his abilities and took him under their wing. They gave him a big lab and his own private building a couple of miles outside Brengate. Every month, the local farm would get him food and supplies and every 6 months, a security sweep would take place in the building. Bunsen did his best to stay out of the illegal dealings of the government but kept his work up to the mark so that they would not suspect him of anything. He engaged in testing certain technology on the inmates of the Arkchester Prison— which ultimately led to the death of all the inmates—but he did it for the greater good. He had a plan in mind.

Dr. Bunsen's wife, Dana Cray, was openly an anarchist and a rebel. A fine specimen of a woman, she dedicated all her life to bringing down the government. He would remember her smoking a menthol in her father's leather jacket, leaning on the balcony railing, staring at the skyline of Brengate. He missed her. She lived off the grid, and Bunsen occasionally visited her in the dead of the night in undisclosed locations. Both of them, husband and wife, worked hard towards making schemes and plans. However, when Dana found out that Bunsen was going along with the games the government was playing, like the Arkchester Prison slaughter, she left him. He was deeply in love with her and was shattered to pieces, but he knew that in order for his plan for his work, it would be better if she stayed far away from him. He knew he would win her back if his plan worked out. He also knew it was going to work out.
