The sound of birds chirping cut off the silence. You had been up since 5 in the morning. It was unnatural. It felt odd. Your eyes darted over towards the window of your dark room. To say that you were tired was an understatement, you were incredibly exhausted. The fact that you had been spending time unpacking your stuff until 1 in the morning, proved how tired you were. However, all that sleepiness was flushed down the drain when you remembered something. Your sleepiness was now exchanged with dread. The thought of going to school did not excite you at least one bit. The light that peeked through your windows was a sign that you had to get off the bed and prepare for school.

When you slid off the bed, you were reminded about the season change, the hardwood floor was cold as hell. However, when you reached the windows, you could feel the faint warmth from the sun that began to rise slowly. The sun that always signaled that a new day has begun. You stared into the mirror for a moment, making note to yourself to get some more rest due to the heavy eye bags that began to materialize under your eyes.

You got up and took a shower in the bathroom down the hallway. It was an apartment for a whole family. Your parents should know that a high school girl wouldn't necessarily need a family apartment, a small 1LDK apartment would have sufficed. Unfortunately, your parents had argued with you about this matter, stating that they will be visiting some time in the future. The place was large enough to hold a party. Well, your family bought the whole floor after all.

You've just recently moved to Musutafu, Japan. It was a nice place, in your opinion, though the thought of changing schools so abruptly was exhilarating and tedious. You didn't actually enjoy your old school ― because there were delinquents here and there ― however, you had a few acquaintances here and there to keep you company. Which was why you were sad that you had to part ways with your very few friends. They were still contacting you via messenger, closing the distance virtually.

Soon, your new school came into sight. UA High School, one of the prestigious high school around here. A lot of people went to this school not only because of its reputation but its variety of clubs there. To sum up, UA is basically an elite school. You wanted a place to fit in, preferably a place where people were interested in art like you, maybe an art club ― if it existed. For now, you hope that you were placed in a class with people you can get along with. Brushing your hair aside, you made your way towards the Principal office first, and along the way, you got to see the various facilities in the school. The principal was a friendly one, making the talk much easier. After greetings and casual talk, the principal gave you your schedule for the week before telling you to head to your class.

According to what he had said, the students there were really nice, though they were annoyingly loud, causing trouble from time to time but still nice people. You stopped in front of a classroom, glancing at the sign before entering the classroom. When you entered, the students were already seated on their seats. Your eyes darted over towards the lazy-looking teacher standing in front.

"Right, I forgot to tell you."

What kind of teacher forgets?

"We have a new student joining us today." he droned on lazily. You closed the door of the classroom. Students began whispering to each other as everyone turned their attention towards you.
