Summary:

Befriending Bakugou Katsuki was a hassle ― you were aware of that. However, the fact that he didn't make any attempts to stop you from approaching him was hope itself. Bakugou himself was surprised and couldn't help but adapt to the new, persistent and 'friendly' you.

The two of you soon arrived at the supermarket and each grabbed a basket. You both began to do your own shopping, walking around the place to look for the items you needed to buy. You only restocked the necessities like shampoo, soap, toothpaste and whatnot. Once you walked out of the aisle where they sold daily necessities, you spotted Bakugou at the frozen goods section and decided to approach him. You peeked into his basket to see a few meat stacked together along with other ingredients like udon and ramen noodles.

"You cook?"

"Not really." he replied quickly before walking away with you trailing behind him. Seeing how he was actually replying to you, you took this chance to ask him more questions.

"That means your parents do." you hummed to yourself, following Bakugou who walked to the other sections to see if there were other things he wanted to buy. You simply followed him, taking all the items you wanted to buy. Those items were canned soup, sandwiches, onigiris and instant noodles that would last you at least a week.

"What is your damn problem?" Bakugou snapped at you in an angry tone when he realized you were following him around.

"Just curious." you replied. The male decided to ignore you and continue his shopping but it seemed like he couldn't shake you off that easily. He had expected you to just keep silent after that, but you were persistently asking him more questions about his personal life.

"So what if your parents are away, what do you eat for dinner?" you asked.

"Either cook or buy something." he replied quickly, grabbing a bottle of chilli powder and throwing it into his basket. After a while, the two of you decided to queue up and pay for your own items before leaving the supermarket.

"Why are you suddenly so damn friendly? Its irritating. The first time we fucking met, I made it clear that I didn't like you and you seem to have the same feeling, but look at you now." Bakugou suddenly yelled at you. You gazed at him with confusion. You could never understand Bakugou's feelings. There were a few questions that popped up into your head when he said that.

Why do you not like me? and Didn't you think that it was because you never tried to give me a good impression to make me like you? Of course, you decided to keep those thoughts to yourself. Bakugou's eyes narrowed at you and you could tell that he was starting to get impatient at you for taking your time to answer. For a moment, you weren't sure of what you should say. This was practically a chance to tell him that you don't actually hate him. Sure, he irritated you and riled you up with all his insults, but that doesn't mean you hate him. It wasn't like he did anything significant to change your life. You had to chose your words carefully.

"I'm still a new student here. So would it be wrong to say that I just wanted to be friends with you?" you asked him. Bakugou stared at you with a confused frown before walking away and facing forward. You followed him slowly, waiting for an answer.

"Friends? Don't be stupid. I don't need any." Bakugou scoffed in response. You frowned at his statement.

"Yes you do. People cannot live by themselves. They need a friend for tough times, for sad times and happy times." you told the ash blond haired male. Trying to be his friend was harder than you thought. You never believed that the thought of befriend Bakugou Katsuki would cross your mind. You didn't even bother to make an effort to make friends back in Middle School. It was an odd feeling.
