<Chris Brady> "Goddamnit Thora, you stink like pee." I shrugged from her instense kisses and we both laughed. Her laughs didn't change. It still lit my mood up.

"Get out and let me wash up."

"Let me wait." she shook her head and smiled.

"This is why I don't want you to get close to me." she heaved a sigh and smiled. "Get out." she said more sternly and I nodded. I didn't want to get on her bad side again. We really have to talk.

I waited inside the dance studio walking around the place. They've been dancing here too. How it must feel to be able to do the things you've loved for a long time was making me smile. The door to the washroom opened and she came out in a different set of clothes. She put on a little makeup and she was looking stunning.

"I've to go home. Ava will be waiting." she said.

I nodded and stepped forward. "With Gabby?"

"Yes. Can we talk some other time?" I put my hands in the front pocket of the trousers and sighed.

"It can't wait." I took another sigh and waiting for her to speak up. "How long have you been with Gabby?"

"Seven years." she answered sharply and slightly moved from where she stood. "Chris, Ava is not your daughter. Get over it and let's get out of here."

"She's almost Aiden's age..."

"So?"

"You know what, I don't want to argue about this. Let's have that DNA test done."

"No!"

"No? So she's mine?" she walked away from me and entered the office. "Thora," she came out with a bunch of photo albums. "I don't want this. This means nothing to me."

"Open it." she instructed. "I don't want my daughter near you and I do not want to have this DNA test. I don't want Gabby to hear us talking about this. Please stay away from us."

"Oh you know I can't do that." I took the photo album from her and threw it to the floor. "If you've been screwing with him, tell him he's done enough. I'm taking you back to where you belong."

"Are you..."

"I think so." I winked at her and leaned closer. "Take care of our daughter, Violet." I leaned back and waved at her. "Bye." I walked out and closed my mind to avoid her cussing words from getting closer to me.

••• I stepped out of my car when I got home and heard Aiden's loud voice in the house. He must be playing this video games again. I opened the thick door to the house and Aiden wasn't alone. Edna was there with him. She was out here playing video games with my son on the floor. "No, no, no!" Aiden screamed and threw the game pad away. "I'm not doing this." he groaned and Edna laughed.

"Your Dad is in." she said and smiled at me. Woman, I'm not ready for this.

"Where's Jesse?"

"She's making dinner." Aiden said and sat in the couch. "I'll be in my room." he picked up his backpack and waved at Edna. Aiden got up from the couch and ran to his room. Edna stood up too and stood closer to me.

It was just a one time thing for me. No feelings attached. What's the right thing to say to her?

"Excuse me, give me a second." I said and walked to the kitchen. Jesse was stirring into the sauce she was making. I saw her naked earlier and I did not want to think about it. "Why did you let her in?" I asked under a low tone. She stepped away from the stove and shrugged.
