The doll

All three of the officers run out after me, yelling for me to stop, but I ignore them and jump into my car and speed off to my house. As I'm speeding through the cars that are going to slow in my opinion, a cop car speeds up next to me and its Officer Barren screaming for me to stop, but I just drove faster.

When I arrive at home, I dash into my house and up the stairs, into my daughters' room. I grab the doll and yell at it.

" SAMMY!" I scream, "SAMMY!" I scream even louder. "Sammy, I'm so sorry baby, I'm going to get you out of this..." I say while crying, "I promise..." I finally whisper.

Officer Barren busts into the room, frantically looking around the room. This scares me, and the doll slips out of my hand and crashes onto the floor.

"NO, MY BABY" I screech dropping onto the floor sobbing.

The doll twitches and then starts to levitate. I quickly stand up and run over to Officer Barren, cowering behind him. The doll spins extremely fast and raises higher into the air, almost hitting the roof. As it's spinning, it rips open from the top and Sammy falls out of it and drops to the floor. The torn doll abruptly stops spinning and falls next to my daughter. I sprint from behind the officer and run over to my unconscious child.

" SAMMY!?" I yelled shaking her, "SAMMY!?" I shook her harder. "Sammy?" I started to cry, from the lack of answer.

"We need to get her to the Hospital" Officer Barren spoke softly, his word barely even heard.

"Ok, ok, let's go before it's too late!" I said, rushing him and myself.

We pick Sammy up and carry her down stairs and outside into his car.  He turned his sirens on and sped to the closes hospital.

"She's going to be ok" Officer Barren said sweetly.

"I know, she's going to ok" I said, unsure if I was trying to convince him or myself.

I laid my head on the cold window and watched as the trees and houses slowly blurred into one, single mess of color. A lonely tear escaped my left eye and gently slides down to my chin and drops onto my jeans. I quickly wipe my face of any evidence of that rogue tear before Barren notices. We pull up to the hospital and I jump out of the car. I rush into the building for help, as Officer Barren carries Sammy out of the car and carries her in. I quickly get a doctor to grab a portable hospital bed and bring it over to Sammy. Officer Barren lays Sammy onto the bed and the doctors rush her into a room and begin examining her.

One dreadful hour later and a doctor comes into the waiting room and calls my name.

"Aria Wilson?" The doctor says.

"Yes, that is me," I stand up from my seat and walk over to the doctor. Officer Barren was called into work a little after Sammy was brought into the hospital room. He asked if I wanted him to stay, but I told him it was alright and for him to go do his job. He hesitated, but eventually left.

"Your daughter is in a coma, but should wake up in about a week," The kind doctor stated.

"Oh, thank god!" I cried. "Thank you so much doctor, I thought I had lost my baby!" I said happily.
