You gasped as you took in the lights that decorated the place, and the blanket spread out on the grass - it looked gorgeous!
"Shawn, it's incredible," you breathed, "Did you do all of this by yourself ?"
He nodded rather shyly, "I'm glad you like it, Y/N," he smiled adorably. "How could I not ? It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!" Shawn smiled at you. "You look amazing, did I mention?"
"Just about five times tonight," you giggled, your cheeks red.
"Well, you do!" he said defensively.

The night had been perfect. Shawn leaned over to kiss you, "Did you enjoy yourself tonight ?" You nodded earnestly, smiling at him. "Good," remarked Shawn, although you heard a catch in his voice. "You okay, Shawn?" "Yeah I-um, yeah, I'm uh fine" You looked at him sceptically. He bit his lip nervously, before getting up. "Okay, this wasn't how I planned it, I had a speech prepared and everything, but I can't seem to remember any of it. God, I have never been this nervous, not even before shows," he took a deep breath, and got down on one knee.
Your hands went to your mouth, 'Was he going to-?'
"Y/N, you are the most incredible woman I have ever met, and I love you so much, I love everything about you. Your smile, your laugh, the way you look, the way you love with all your heart, each and every single thing! And boy, am I wishing that I hadn't forgotten the speech I had planned because it was nicer and you deserve everything nice. My heart is all yours, heck, I am all yours, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, " he took a deep breath.
"Y/N Y/L/N, will you please marry me?"
"Yes. Yes!"
