Mike decides to walk me home after the school was let out. I tell him he doesn't need to but he insists. As we're walking I think over the day's events. I have a boy who's already in love with me or just another pervert, a protector, i'm the female alpha, and i'm popular. Wow. Best day of my life. We reach my house and he asks for my phone number. I tell him that i'll give it to him tomorrow. He walks away and I go inside. I'd already given Kensuke my number. I wasn't going to talk to him until he apologizes. Just like magic, I suddenly got a text from him when I was changing into house clothes.
"Hey."
"Hey. I'm mad at you."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Why? Is it about the kiss?"
"What else?"
"Look. I just got broken out of a heartbreaking relationship. You remind me a lot about her. I'm sorry. You're just... making me kinda depressed."
OMG. I had no idea! I immediately text back.
"OMG! I had no idea! Did you suddenly see me as her?"
"Exactly..."
"Then why didn't you respond when I pushed on you? And why did you growl?"
"Um... me and Mike have a very harsh relationship..."
"I've got time."
"He was the one who took Yvonne from me..."
I felt awful. Who knew I was hanging out with such an awful person? I felt angry with myself for being mad at poor Ken. Mike was probably just a player and I was his target!
"Let me guess... he's a player?"
"You bet. He lies, cheats, drinks, and who knows what else. It's like his gf's have only a week to kiss, hug, live and get kicked out or cheated on."
"Ugh. What a sicko. I can't believe I helped him."
"I gtg. I'll see you tomorrow y/n."
"Okay. TTYL."
I switch off my phone. I'm really pissed at Mike. That butthole. I'll never, ever trust him again. Freaking never.
