The thing about your town, was that there was one simple rule. Dont go near the compound. They never said why and they never said what was in it. The extent of peoples knowledge, was that within the fence was a very religious little town that had no tolerance for outsiders.

You had heard the warnings all your life, but being a bright eyed eight year old, your curiosity eventually got the better of you. You never meant any harm, you just wanted to see what was beyond those pristine walls.

It was a rainy morning, the type that lasted well into the week and you managed to convince your parents to let you wander the woods. The compound itself, was nestled deep in the forest on the edge of town, just within walking distance of your home. So, armed with wonderment and a yellow raincoat, you began your adventure. After a while of splashing through puddles and following the trails, you came upon the wall. A large pine tree stood against the wall, its branches extending over both the compound and the outside world. Taking a deep breath, you climbed the tree and hopped over the fence, landing on the green grass withing the compound. You looked around in wonder.

Houses were all around. They were all clean white, as if freshly painted and all nearly identical. No people milled about, due to the rain, but you had the feeling it would prabably best to stay out of peoples way.

"Who are you?" Asked a voice from behind. So much for staying out of peoples way......

You turned to see a boy around your age. His eyes were wide and a shocking shade of ice blue. His hair was platinum blonde and came to a tiny floof on the top of his head. He was clad head to toe in white.

"Oh, my...my names Y/N....." You stammered, scared that for some reason you may be in trouble.

He smiled, revealing a gap in his teeth, "You dont have to be afraid! I'm not really supposed to be outside either. My names Daniel!"

You relaxed and smiled back, "Its nice to meet you Daniel!"

"You're not from here." He observed.

You shook your head, "No, I'm just visiting. I saw the wall and wondered what was over it so I climbed that tree and now I'm here." You pointed to the pine.

"How are you going to get back over?" He asked.

Your face paled, "I....hadnt thought of that....."

"Don't worry! I have special key to the gate! I can help you get back home," He pulled a silver key from his front pocket.

You looked unhappily at the ground, "I kind of wanted to explore....."

Daniel shifted nervously, "I dont think thats very safe....my family dosent really like outsiders....."

You looked disheartened, "Oh...."

Daniel frowned, he didnt like to see you sad, "But hey! Maybe you can come back again and I can show you around! I will have to disguise you though."

You lit up like a Christmas tree and hugged the boy, "Oh thank you Daniel! That makes me so happy!"

He smiled and hugged back, "My mama says that happiness is the one truth in life. But anyway, we should probably get going, that rain is coming down pretty hard..."

You nodded and released him. The two of you slunked towards the gate which was at the compound entryway. You looked around the small villiage, finding a bank and a school and a church with a weird symbol, all in white. "Why is everything white here?" You asked.

"Because its the colour of purity." Daniel said simply. He pointed at your raincoat, "We cant wear colours like yellow, because the sun is yellow and the sun is in space, and space is where all negative emotions come from."
