It's early spring in Southern Florida. The familiar scent of salt water and fish and the soothing sound of crashig waves floated in on a soft breeze. Winter was sitting by an open window. She was short with wide hips and a pair of coconuts (its ya bust, ya boobs, ya coconuts), with big green eyes, long curly silver hair, and fair skin. She was wearing a lavender turtle neck, a pink skirt, black rose tights, and shiny black flats.
It was almost noon and she had been waiting all day for her new roomie to arrive. She glanced back at the pathetic dorm she was supposed to be living in. The walls were pink and the floor was mostly teal carpet, except for the small fourth that was a pretty wood. There was a set of bunk beds, stripped bare to the mattress. There was a small coffee table in front of a 24" TV on a dusty tv stand which as far as she knew,  was the smallest TV ever. The curtains were fading and now were a grey-ish red. The bay window she was in was orange with silly yellow and golden colored pillows.
She sighed. This place needs some serious T.L.C. she thought grumpily. There were footsteps coming down the hall. It grew louder and louder till it was silent. Winter jumper of the couch and ran to the door pressing her ear against it. Is this it? My new roommate? She smiled, barely able to hold her excitement. The door handle jiggled and she jumped back. It swung open and in the doorway was a girl with long, straight, and messy dirty blonde hair. She was so pale that she would make a vampire look like old yellowed paper. Her eyes were blue, and she had a pair of coconuts herself. Although she was calm she looked exhausted.
She was wearing a black and blue sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and blue boots. Winter looked behind her, there were five large suitcases and one clutched in her hands
"The elevator broke" the new girl laughed awkwardly. She put down the suitcase and extended a hand.
"I'm Summer, nice to meet you" she said weakly. Winter bursted from excitement, grabbed the girl's hand, and shook it like there was no tomorrow. After a little she let go and stepped back, just smiling.
"You got a name or should I just call you Shakey McShakerton?" Summer teased.
"Swinter! Uh! I mean Winter" She sheepishly answered.
"Well Winter, I look forward to being your roommate." Summer smiled sweetly. She began to unpack and after some TLC, the room was looking very lively. Posters of bands and celebrities, pictures of family and dogs, and paintings of beautiful landscapes on every wall. They changed the curtains to a nice black that turned to a bright red in sunlight. They dusted off the coffee table and added a few decorations. The mattresses were colorful and clean, with blankets and pillows again.
Not a single corner of the room was dirty, dull, or dusty. Now this is a dorm room! Winter thought cheerfully. The place looked nice and now there was a mega hot girl as her roommate. Neither of them knew it yet, but this was just the beginning of a very interesting year.
