The cool breeze brushes my hair past me. I inhale some of the fresh air. One of my favorite scents, even though air doesn't have a significant smell. It just makes me calm and relaxed. I step back inside my bedroom to get ready for the day.

I put on my black thigh highs and plain black skirt. And slip on my black tube top and combat boots. I clean my glasses and throw on my long, black cardigan. Grabbing my sketchbook and bag I head out the door. There's a park about 2 blocks away, and in the middle is a cherry blossom tree, I like to sit under it and draw the pedestrians around me. It takes my mind off all the things going on in my life.

While I'm walking I notice some kids riding their bikes. A dog chasing their owners. Families flying kites, walking around. Parents...parents pushing their kids on the swings, cheering them when they successfully did the monkey bars. It sure does look like fun. I'm not very close with my parents anymore, but I live in their house so I have to be nice.

Anyways, I should probably introduce myself. My name is Willow, I'm a witch. Yes, I cast spells and I have a cauldron in my house. That's just the basic stuff. I do a lot of magic, it makes me happy. I used to do a lot of evil magic though. I hung around a bad crowd in my school and we'd hurt people, just for the fun of it. But one day I got carried away, and something bad happened to someone. Now I don't have any contact with them. They used to try to visit, but I just made it seems like no one is ever home. Now no one ever comes to the house. I'm totally okay with that, less social interaction for me. I go to an all creature academy. Witches, vampires, werewolves, goblins, etc. It's actually a pretty big academy, there's a spell casted upon it which makes the school only visible to our eyes and not humans. I wonder if a human got close would they bump into the school or go right through it on their merry little way?

I arrive at the park and take a seat under the tree and pull out both my sketchbook and pencil. I start drawing these 2 guys sitting at a table together. They're holding hands and eating, they look so cute together. They must be on a date, or they're just really good friends.

As I'm drawing suddenly the only source of sunlight beaming through the trees flowers is blocked. I glance up to see what was happening and there was a girl there. She has clear, tan skin, and was wearing a green shirt with ripped black jeans. She's smiling at me and looking at my drawing. She takes a seat next to me on the dry grass.

"It looks amazing!" She tells me.

"Thanks, I'm sorry, who are you?" I ask, hopefully not sounding rude.

"Oh my apologies! I'm Lux, I just moved here last week, I've never seen you," Lux says.

"I don't really leave my house, occasionally though, I'm Willow by the way." I tell her which earns me a little chuckle from her.

"I should probably get back home before my parents freak out, it was nice meeting you Willow, can I have your number?" She asks with a smile.

"Sure," I say and we enter our numbers in each other's phone.

Lux walks away and the sunlight hits her light pink hair. She can pull that off. She turns around and most likely notices I'm staring at her. I look down as fast as possible and look up a lift bit to notice that she smiled and waved goodbye.

I sit under the tree for a little while longer. After I'm finished with my drawing, I start to head back home. I can't stop thinking about that girl Lux. Her tan skin, long light pink hair, how she was actually pretty tall. She was adorable. Sadly, you could tell she was a mortal, too bad. She looked and sounded really nice.

As I get home, I go to my backyard. I have my garden there. That's where I grow all my herbs for my spells and such. I water all my plants and start to take the ones that are ready to be used. I preserve them in a jar and add them to my wall of herbs.

I still can't stop thinking about her. How her eyes were a deep green, almost unnatural but still natural. How they had tiny specks of brown in them. Am I studying her too much? I need to stop. It won't be able to happen. Witches and humans cannot date. And that's final.

I hope not.
