Chapter 2

A week later...

I want more plants. No, no. I need more plants. If there's even a little speck where there isn't a plant I'll go ballistic. To the flower shop I go. Ooo, I can also get some new seeds to grow some tomatoes. I haven't grown any of forever, and they're the best. I should probably update my garden. It looks boring and just plain green. I need more color in my life.

I grab some money and my bag. The flower shop is a little farther than the park so I grab the keys to my car. I hop inside and drive for about 10 minutes. Just blaring some random music that I forgot is on my playlist. I finally arrive at my destination. I walk inside and go straight to isle 3. It's sad that I know exactly where everything is. I grab some tomato, peppers, strawberries and I want to grow both and orange and lemon trees.

I grab all of the seeds I think I'll need for the week this way I don't have to make another trip into the outside world. Scary. I then go to the sides of the shop, that's where all the plants are. I like buying the ones that aren't fully grown this way I can experience the joy in growing them my own. But I know that if I plant my own from the very beginning it'll die because I'll think there's nothing in there and not water it. After getting more plants than I need in my life, I head to the cashier person thingy. I don't pay too much attention, but then that's when I hear it...

"Oh hey Willow! It's me. Lux." Lux says as I look up and wonder how I didn't notice this gorgeous girl with unnatural pink hair standing right in front of me.

"Um, hi, hi Lux nice to see you today!" I say with a little bit too much enthusiasm and a creepy smile slapped on my face.

"Oof, that's a lot of plants and seeds! You have your own garden or just like buying them for fun?" She asks with a little glimmer in her eyes. So pretty.

"Yeah, I like plants and gardening. A LOT! I have my own garden, you should come over and see it one day!" I practically yell at her. "I didn't know you worked here, I always come here, and I've never seen you."

"I should, one day, just let me know when your free," she says with a smile, "And remember I just moved here and I barely got this job yesterday. I mean who wouldn't love being surrounded by these beautiful plants?"

I smile and say, "I know right I would definitely want to work here, but I'm too lazy to actually go outside and find a job."

Lux laughs, even though it wasn't a joke, but I laugh along too. After having a little chat I wave goodbye and I leave the store. She's the best! I wish she wasn't a human. I want to ask her out so bad. I mean I don't even know if she swings that way. But, I have this very strong feeling that she does. I mean come on, she has too. I pray.

Finally, I arrive home. After setting up all my plants and making them look all cute, I go lay down in the couch. I don't know why but I'm feeling really lonely and bored. I need friends. No. I need to text Lux. I should text her. No. I'm going to do it.

Yeah, I'm 2 hours I'm gonna come around to your house and we're gonna hang out. Deal?

Love. Love. I'm blushing now. What is happening? Seconds later I hear a honk. I look outside the window and see Lux. 2 hours my ass. Damn, that doesn't sound right.
