I couldn't take it anymore. I had to count it! I mean, how much are dogs anyway? They can't be more then I've saved up!I grab the bucket. It's filled with money.
To many poeple, money is somegthing you have. But to me, it is something you work for. How do you earn mooney? A job. Most poeple hate their jobs. But for me, a ten year old, I don't have those kind of jobs. I rake leaves. shovel snow, stuff you can turn into games.
I'm fine with fun work! I've been doing it since I was six! Earning money, putting it in a box. But soon that empty tissue box was no longer empty. I could fit no more money in it! That happened around age seven. Then, with four of my precious dollars, I bought a bucket.
The bucket is filled wth money. One dollar bills, five dollar bills, even some two dollar bills.I won't spend those. They are worth more then two dollars today!
$672.46. And right then and now, I felt as if I had all the power in the world! I could do anything! I could fly, get a dog, maybe even raise one eyebrow! I tried. Nope. Still can't do that!
I looked online. What kind of dog do I want?I want a tiny dog, with beautiful fur and energy that never runs out! After an hour, I found my answer. The Maltipoo.
"Dinner!" I heard someone say. It was my six year old sister, Emma. I was so caught up in my work I didn't even notice it was 6:30. Dinnertime!
At the dinnertable, when we are all eating chicken (Exept for me. Chicken is not my thing!),I decide to ask the question.
"Can I get a dog?" Mom, Dad, and Emma are staring up at me with wide eyes.
