Anyone with eyes could see that Hwang Hyunjin felt something more than just friendship towards Kim Seungmin. The first time Jeongin had met them, he thought they were dating. At the time, however, the two were simply best friends.Jeongin was straight. He knew this, and he didn't have any problems with people who were LGBT. It was Jisung who had introduced Jeongin to Seungmin and Hyunjin.
The youngest boy had been nervous. He'd never been very good at meeting new people, especially those who were older and had more experience. But with one smile from Seungmin, Jeongin immediately felt at home with the two.
Jeongin soon found out that Seungmin was very intelligent. He had the best grades in the grade-- and probably the entire school. Jeongin found out quickly that Jisung was very jealous of Seungmins intelligence, but he never commented on it.
Hyunjin was a different story. His grades were average, but he was definitely the most attractive in the grade. He was incredibly kind-hearted, but knew when to go off on someone who did him wrong.
While they intimidated Jeongin greatly, he still really liked them. It didn't take too long for them to become friends.
It seemed to Jeongin that they would all be friends forever.
But everything, even friendship, has an expiration date.
It's definitely not the greatest feeling, being trapped in an enclosed space with two of your dead best friends, especially not when whoever killed them was standing in that very room.
Changbin had placed his jacket over their bodies, carefully placing Hyunjin by Seungmins side with shaking hands. They would have wanted to be together.
Jeongin couldn't stop crying.
All Seungmin ever talked about was a happy ending. But at this moment, Jeongin didn't believe in happy endings. His best friends were dead, and he knew he would never see them again. Never laugh or smile with them ever again.
Jisung was hysterical in Minhos arms, and Felix was too in shock to process anything going on around him.
Changbin kicked at the wall, trying desperately to make a hole, but to no avail.
"Goddamnit just break!" Changbin yelled in frustration, kicking harder.
It was then that Minho noticed something no one else had. A peel in the wallpaper.
"Binnie," Minho mumbled, getting up slowly. Jisung, now without comfort, curled into a ball.
Minho slowly pulled at the wallpaper, revealing their only exit point.
A metal door, secured with a keypad.
"You've got to be kidding me," Jeongin gasped, pulling at his hair. "We're never making it out of here. We're all going to starve to death.. t-they'll never find our bodies!"
The younger was hysterical, panic rising in his chest. He really, really wasn't ready to die. He was only 17, after all. He hadn't even seen what the world had to offer yet.
It was always Chan who stopped to smell the flowers. He'd always said that life was too short to not appreciate the world around him. If only he'd known just how short life could be.
Changbin typed away at the keyboard, trying in vain to figure out the code. They desperately needed Seungmin's brain at a time like this.
After failing to guess the code for the eleventh time in a row, the boy laid down on the floor in defeat.
"There's no point in even trying to get out.." Jisung hid his face in his hands. "We don't even know where we are. We could be miles away from the nearest police station.."
"It's worth a try though, isn't it?" Felix frowned. "We can't just give up when we've made it this far.."
"What's the point in even trying?" Jisung looked up.
"Why are you so negative, Jisungie? Do you have something you want to share?" Changbin raised a brow.
"Are you accusing me of getting us into this mess?" Jisung frowned. "The first thing you did when we woke up was blame me. Maybe that's because you were trying to get the attention off of yourself?" The boy raised an accusing brow.
"Guys.. can we please not argue.." Felix begged.
"Lix, someone in here is the reason why all of our friends are gone..." Jeongin sniffled. "We need to figure out who sooner or later."
"I think it's Minho," Jisung shook his head.
"Me?" Minhos eyes widened. "Why the fuck would I-"
"It's obvious he's hiding something! I saw you take that polaroid off of the wall," Jisung continued, crossing his arms.
Accusing glares were sent around the room, Jeongin hiding behind Felix and clutching onto his arm tightly for comfort.
"So tell me," Changbin continued. "Why'd you do it?" he looked at Jisung.
"Why are you all turning against me?" Jisung yelled defensively.
"Can everyone just calm down?" Felix begged. "You're scaring Jeongin!"
Jeongins body couldn't handle the stress. His head was pounding from all of the yelling, and his hands were beginning to shake. It took only a moment before his vision went black.
