like the stars that dimmed at our presence

the moon that suddenly took refuge in the clouds

and the wind that halted its breeze,

we parted.

my head was faced towards my plain white wall. on it were three spanish quotes my past lover had left behind on my heart and my wall. they meant everything to me now as i found you. they suddenly began to make sense even if spanish was not what my tongue was born to speak.

your head was faced towards the void. in it was a mystic abyss that i usually got lost in as i do your eyes.

where to begin with your eyes.
the eyes represent everything you embody and they are a brown that resembles the scales of a dragon. they are as mysterious.
they have a coat of fog that hides you from the world though you are exposed to it.

though we were on opposite ends of the sleeping city, we were together.

at least, that's what i like to think.
