His head pounding, Sammy could feel himself waking up on a cold, hard floor. "Hnn..." Slowly sitting up, Sammy held the side of his head before leaning against the wall. He couldn't make out exactly what his surroundings were like behind his mask, but it was enough to see that it was...kind of like an empty room. No windows or doors; yet it was dimly lit enough to see around him.

That is...until Sammy realized something; a dark, heavy presence. One that was unmistakable to him...a feeling that he only got in one other place...the studio. And he knew exactly what it was. A black, angry aura rippled through the room as inky veins spiraled through the walls. A heavy heartbeat thudded from the opposite side, alongside black ink that would occasionally rain down and drip onto the floor. Daring to turn his gaze, Sammy slowly turned his head towards the source...and there stood Bendy...the accursed Ink Demon with a twisted skeletal figure and a cryptic smile that never seemed to falter. Despite all that...the demon appeared distressed.

It seemed like he'd been pounding and punching on the wall, trying to find a way out. Sammy, feeling confused, slowly pulled himself up from the floor. It made sense that Bendy felt stressed...a single room with no way of escape...and the only other occupant was himself. A self-proclaimed profit to Bendy that was dead-set on making the demon take notice of his existence in the hopes of being set free from the prison of Joey Drew's damned cartoon studio. However, Bendy seemed to be trying to escape with the ferocity of someone who wanted to get away from someone else...and it occurred to Sammy that that someone was probably himself. The last time he encountered Bendy...it didn't end well. The angered demon must've been fed up with his rituals and attempted sacrifices and nearly killed him. Yet...he'd been spared within an inch of his life. Now Sammy felt himself having a slight twinge of fear towards the demon. He still felt the need to appease to him, yes, but now he seemed to be holding back. What if the demon actually DID try to kill him again?

Sammy had become so lost in thought over this dilemma that he didn't notice that Bendy had turned to face him, and was staring him down like a lion would gaze at a passing zebra. Then again, it didn't seem that way when the demon began to back away from Sammy, pressing as far back into a corner as he could. "My lord...?"

"Stay back," the creature snarled. Now Sammy was even more confused. Why did he fear him? He figured that the demon at least despised him to an extent.

"But..."

"I said stay back!" he growled before turning to the wall and tried to push through it. Normally, an inky portal would have opened up and he could walk through to somewhere else. But this time, he was failing quite miserably. "Why isn't dis working?!"

However, Sammy saw this as an opportunity to confront the demon, despite the dangerous route he was taking to do so. "My lord...why do you despise me?" The demon snarled and shot Sammy a glance that didn't need any words to convey how annoyed he was. "Why...?"

"Because yer annoyingly obsessed with me and I hate it," Bendy snarled. "Now fer once, leave me in fucking peace so I can get outta here and be rid of you's for good." Sammy felt his heart sink. He expected just as much, but it still hurt to hear how harsh Bendy felt about him.

"But...my Lord...you're my only source of hope. I thought...that if I appeased to you, I'd be free..."

"Free? From what? I'm stuck here too! The only freedom you can get from dis prison is death!" He wasn't wrong, though. The only way it seemed, to escape the inky abyss of the studio was to be killed off. But Sammy still had a foolish glimmer of hope in him.
