Eight

Chug! Chug! Chug!

Everyone chants as I unhinge my jaw like a snake and down the frothy beverage in less than 3 seconds, finishing my beer well before Chris.

"Aw come on princess, what? You can't handle little bit of beer?" I ask jokingly as he struggles to gulp down the rest of his drink. 

"Fuck off." he snaps back, wiping away the beer of his chin.

Jace has a shocked expression on his face while he rags on Chris. "Damn bro, she kicked your ass!"

Yeah fuckers, bet you didn't think I could beat you at your own game did you?

The fact that I beat Chris at this silly little drinking game isn't why I'm over here grinning from ear to ear, well maybe a little bit but it's mostly from seeing Jace's reaction to me beating Chris that has me over here looking like the joker. What I want more than anything right now is to jump in his strong muscled arms and wrap myself around him to enjoy my small victory but I know that I can't so I settle for a smile and a wink in his direction which he returns.

After getting high fived by everyone for my victory. I confidently head back over to my towel and lay down, soaking up every minute of sunlight we have left. It's starting to get late and the sky is morphing from its original bright blue shade into pinkish orange hues that make the view nothing short of spectacular. But the wind from the beach feels amazing against my skin although the yelling and cheering from the drunkies behind me are making the experience slightly less enjoyable. Juliette is among them, continuing to sip beer after beer while I try to relax and I know that if she keeps going at this pace I'm going to end up having to carry her home, thank god the walk is literally two feet away.

The kick back is slowly dying down only leaving Jules, Jax, Jace and I at the beach. Much to my surprise Juliette is aggressively making out with Jaxon on one of the fold out chairs next to me. I'm not surprised that she's hooking up with one of his friends because she does that often, it's just the fact that it's with Jax, haven't seen that one happen yet. I don't want to cock block her though so I get up from my towel and put my shorts back on strolling to the case full of beer, allowing myself to enjoy one more. 

I get my drink and close the cooler door and look around to find a place to sit down where no one is making out. I see Jace sitting by himself against Juliette's fence lighting a cigarette so I make my way over to him not thinking too much about it since it's safe while Jules is distracted. He must have noticed me shivering when I approach because he grabs the black hoodie from under his butt and pulls it over my head before I can protest.

"Thanks baby" I whisper as quietly as I can giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Juliette gets up from her chair abruptly before he can reply and I freeze instantly feeling like my heart just stopped in my chest.

Fuck, I think she saw us.

Luckily for me it's pretty dark so she doesn't seem to notice Jace and I leaning against her fence while her hands are intertwined withs Jaxon's pulling him down the walkway inside her house.

Whew, that was fucking close.

Jace and I don't waste a second the moment the sliding door closes before devouring each other. I part my lips slightly to greet his impatient tongue as he works his hands through my tangled hair, pulling me on to his lap so close so that my body is hovering just above his. I lower myself down fully on to his lap and wrap my arms around his neck slowly, rocking my hips back and forth on top of him needing the friction. He moans into my mouth as my body sways against his.

"Mmm baby. Unless you're trying to have me fuck you right here on this beach, you need to stop". He breaths unsteadily.

I bite down gently on his lower lips pulling it between my teeth before answering.
