-Courtney-
School was boring for the rest of the day, the rest of my classes were a drag, as usual. Now all I need to do is go to my locker and then get the hell out of this hell hole. Ding, ding. There is the ring that saved me from getting any more English homework. I quickly put the rest of my notes in my folder and scurried out of the classroom. Making my way to my locker, I saw all the nerds, the jocks, the sluts. The usual. For some reason, the sluts never liked me. I didn’t particularly think that they would, but they seemed to kind of .. hate me. Ever since the beginning of 7th grade, and now I’m in 9th grade, and they still don’t really like me.
“Hey loser.” Tiffany Gordon, the most popular girl in the group snarled at me.
I just continued walking. “Hey! I was talking to you!” She yelled to me again. I just walked away again, but not before I got turned around by the one and only Tiffany.
I was now face to face with her, and her excessive amount of cheap perfume was all I could smell.
“What do you want?” I asked, trying not to show fear.
“To talk to you.” She said, loosening her grip on my shoulder.
“Kay, talk..” I said, very confused. I took a step back, trying to be as far away from her and her ‘friends’ as possible.
“Well, I just want to say, I saw you talking to Harry in science the other day.”
“Yeah? And?”
“Stay away from him, b****. He’s mine.”
“He can be yours all you want. I want nothing to do with him, he just annoys me.” I said back to her.
“Yeah right. I see the way you guys flirt with each other.”
Okay, this is getting ridiculous.
“Oh, okay. Well I got to go. Mom needs me home. Bye!” I said and ran off. I looked back behind me for a glance to see if she was still there and she was, but her and her group left in no time.
I raced to my locker and put in my conversation. 06-24-09. I always remembered it, it was so easy. Well, to me. I opened my locker and rummaged around the tiny space, looking for the play audtition sheet.. I didnt really want to do it, but i had to for my best friend. I crouched down to see if I put it at the bottom part. Nope. Not there. I stood up again, and check over everything else, and heard a voice beside me.
“Hey Court!” My crush, Austin said to me.
Oh my god. I have liked him for like ever. Since 7th grade, but it became hard to talk to him because that’s when Tiffany and her group began ‘bullying’ me.
“Oh! Hey Austin! What’s up?”
Play. It. Cool. Courtney.
“Nothing much, just goin’ to head out, but I saw you and wanted to ask if you wanted to go get some ice cream or something?”
Holy shizballz.
“Oh yeah, sure! Let me just find my math binder.” I said and laughed nonchalantly. He nodded and leaned next to the locker next to mine, waiting for me. I finally found it. I smiled to myself, and pushed it into my ‘Vera Bradley’ backpack. I smiled at him.
“Ready?” He asked.
“Ready as I’ll ever be.” He smiled at me.
We walked there since it was just around the corner. We walked up to the counter and ordered our cones. I got strawberry, it’s my favorite. Austin got chocolate. Austin is popular, but he isn’t the kind of poplars’ that are fake. He is real, and I like that about him.
The next thing I know is I feel coldness on my nose. I gasped and turned to see Austin halfway scooted down the bench. I turned to him with my mouth still open wide.
“Austin Kelly!” I yelled and just stared there. He just smiled at me.
I got up and walked up over and around the corner to the counter to get a napkin. I wiped my nose and then arms came and grabbed my waist. I thought it was Austin so I just let whoever it was take me away for a second. I felt them gripping tighter and tighter. This is NOT Austin.
“Austin?” I said and tried to get out of this persons reach, but it didn’t work.
“Stop squirming!” The mysterious person yelled.
I was starting to panic.
“Please? I’ll do anything!” I yelled. It slipped out of my mouth. I didn’t really mean it.
The man, well I am guessing it is a man, or guy because of his voice.
“You will?”
“Yes please, just let me go. I’ll do whatever.”
I could tell he was thinking.
“Alright. You can never see Austin again if I let you go.” His voice sounded so familiar, but I couldn’t put my finger on it.
“W-Why?” I stuttered.
“He doesn’t deserve you. I know someone who does.” He said into my ear.
“Who?”
“Har-“ He was cut off by Austin screaming my name.
“Courtney! Courtney! I’m sorry! Come back now!” I just realized we were behind the ice cream shop in the woods, but I could still see it in the distance.
“Go. GO on, tell him your goodbyes, and never see him or talk to him again, and this won’t happen again.”
“U-um. Okay-y.” I had to get out of here. I was still turned around to the position where I could see the back of the ice cream shop, and not my kidnapper.
“Remember, he doesn’t deserve you. Someone else does.” He whispered and I ran. I ran as fast as I could.
I ran out of the woods, and into someone.
That someone was Austin.
“Courtney!”
“Austin…”
