Chapter 5 - Alec's Secrets

Alec POV

"Why do I have to do this?" I ask Yandere, on the phone. "Because if you want Funneh to live, you will do what I say." She says. "Fine!" I exclaim. "Good... do it today." Yandere says. "Yes mam..." I hang up the phone.

"Alec! That took a really long time." Kyran says. "I know. I need to take care of some business now..." I respond. "Oh, okay." I walk away, out of the cafeteria, and up the stairs.

Gold POV

"GOLD! Someone is down here waiting for you!" "Coming, Draco!" I yell from my room. I rush down the stairs to see who it is. I stop running when I see who it is. A blue haired boy is in the doorway. "Hi Kyran!" I exclaim. "H-hi Gold... Would you like to get a smoothie from Sarah's Smoothie Shack?" Kyran asks. "Sure!" I say. I walk out the door with him, to the smoothie place.

Draco POV

I decide to go get something to eat myself.

I was walking down the street when I saw someone. Her black hair swayed in the wind. She turned to look at me and then walked over to me.

"Hi! I'm Aly! You are?" "Draco..." I say. "Oh, I remember you! Your the guy that sits in front of me in science class." "Uh... yeah..." I say to her. "Maybe we can do some of that homework from class one day." She says. "S-sure!" I stammer. "Okay. See you in school!" The lovely girl says as she walks away.

Gold POV

"Uh... I heard there's going to be a competition between YHS and VHS." Kyran says.

"Oh? Are they coming here?" I ask. "No, we're going to their school." "We are?"

I've never actually seen the Vengeance High school campus.

"Yes. We'll be staying there for a week." Kyran says. "A WEEK?" I yell. "Yes. We're having field day for three of those days. There will be other competitions, though. Last year we didn't have cooking competitions, swimming, art, and some others." "COOKING! I'M ENTERING THAT!" I scream. Kyran says nothing.

Funneh POV

"Alec, why have you been so distant?" "I've already told you, Funneh. I've been... busy." Alec says. "Are you even going to the competition with VHS?" I ask him. "Of course. I would never miss a chance to win against them!" Alec exclaims. Alec's phone beeps. "I got to go, Funneh." Alec says. "Oh, okay..." He runs off, phone to his ear.

I wonder who he's been talking to on his phone. He says he's been busy and that he's been doing work... but I feel like something is going on here.

I try calling Alec tonight, but he doesn't answer. I set the phone down.

One Week Later

I wake up excited today because it's a special day. This evening we're going to VHS for the competition. But that's not only what's happening today.

Today is also my birthday, and Halloween. I'm turning 17.

I get out of bed, put on my normal clothes, and then rush downstairs. "Hey birthday girl!" Gold calls. "Who's cooking?" I ask. "Don't worry, I am, Funneh!" Lunar exclaims.

"Lunar wouldn't let me cook!" Gold yells. "Because Funneh needs a special breakfast this morning." Lunar says. "What's so bad about the food I cook, huh?" Gold asks. Lunar doesn't say anything.

"What are you wearing?" Gold turns to me. "My normal clothes." I reply. "You can't wear that!" Gold grabs my hand and runs up the stairs, into my room. "Wear this." Gold pulls out a beautiful, short, blue dress.

Funneh's Dress:

I put it on and look in the mirror. "It's a bit fancy, but it looks good!" I say. "Let me do your hair!" Gold exclaims. "Go-" Gold already has a hair brush, hair spray, rubber bands, and a bunch of bobby pins.

30 Minutes Later

Gold finished doing my hair. "Done!" She says. I look in the mirror.

Funneh's Hair:

"This is gorgeous, Gold!" I exclaim. "Come on, let's eat breakfast." She walks out of the room.
