rescue 🍃 tracob

XIX.

when angelina opened the door the one thing she did not expect was to see jacob with several police and swat cars behind him. he mouth fell open as she looked between jacob and the cars. 

"jacob..." she said. "what the hell did you do?"

jacob shook his head. "no not me," he says. "we. we found them."

angelina slipped on some shoes and stepped outside the house. "are you kidding."

jacob smiles. "nope," he pulls out his phone and shows angelina the picture. "it's some place in brisbane."

angelina looked at the picture and then back at jacob before jumping up and hugging him. "god i can't believe you did it," she then backs away and sighs. "i get my best friend back."

"and i get troye back." jacob said. 

"are-are you going to find them now?" she says.

jacob chuckles. "well why else would there be several police cars and a swat team behind me."

"you got room for one more person." angelina says rolling on the balls of her feet.

"it's why im here."

angelina quickly runs in the house before coming back out with a pair of actual shoes on and her house keys.

they both make their way to the officers. chief gives jacob a look and the young man nods his head as a way of saying they are all good to go.

the chief clears his throat. "alright," he says to everyone. "i regret to inform you that the culprit behind this was our very own detective snow."

a few people look at each other whilst some continue to have their eyes forward.

"now," he continues. "i know a few of my officers have been align with her. i am willing to let take a leave of absence  along with  keeping your job if you step up and confess."

jacob and angelina look at the crowd of people. they all look at each other waiting to see if someone was going to step up and say that they were apart of troye's kidnapping. 

jacob points to on of the men. "you," he said. 

the man jacob is pointing at looks up with a smirk on his face. "me," he said. "why would i do anything with that case. i have better ways to spend my time than help with a kidnapping like this."

angelina walked up to the man and looked him in the eye. "you're lying," she said crossing her arm. "why?"

he leaned over and looked angelina up and down before smiling. "i told you," he said. "i'm not lying."

"then why won't you look me in the eye when you say it?" angelina says.

the officer stood up and crossed his arms. angelina mimicked his stance as well as tilting her head to the side and smiling.  

the officer looked between angelina and the chief before rolling his eyes and sighing. "alright so i may have helped snow with some places that she could take the guy. i didn't think it was going to be for this long?"

jacob raised an eyebrow. "this long," he said. "what, did you think this was going to be like a three week vacation and then troye would just pop up out of nowhere?" 

the officer shrugs. "all she told us was that she was going to kidnap troye and possibly hold him for ransom? look man, i don't know she told us very little."

"well you better start talking," the chief said. "because if you don't you can forget about keeping this job."

he looks at the crowd as the officer crosses his arms and locks his jaw. "anyone else," the chief says before nodding his head. "alright, let's go."
