"Your fingers entwined slowly with mine, and suddenly life made sense."
Naya Morell has become used to things no 16 year old would ever except themselves to find themselves used to. One being the fact that she was a werewolf, complete with a whole different body to occupy. Two being that she imprinted on her best friend, Jacob Black. Three being that one of her best friends was in love with her packs long time rival, a vampire by the name of Edward Cullen.
Jacob Black was one of the only constants in her life over the past year, being someone she could rely on, and seek comfort in. After imprinting things only intensified their feelings for one another. Now Naya was practically with Jacob every single day, whether it be for pack reasons, or selfish ones. She shared space with half of his drawer, keeping a pair of shorts and t-shirts for the evenings she decides the walk back to her place is too far. And Jake was willing to give her his damn wardrobe, it's not like he has much of one left anyways with him constantly shredding his clothes mid shift.
"What are you thinking about?" Naya looks up at Jake from her resting position on his chest. She hadn't noticed she was deep in thought.
Naya rests her chin on her hands as he runs his hands through her hair. "You." she admits.
"Oh, really?" Jake laughs, a teasing smile forming on his lips.
She nods her head, looking him in the eyes. "Yeah, I don't mind you, you know." she teases him back.
"Well that's a relief, I happen to not mind your company as well." he pokes her sides.
Naya sequels, grasping onto his chest as he continues to tickle her sides. They both laugh, their laughter fading into the noise of the ocean behind them. She winds up fully in his lap, giggling into his neck, as he finally slows down the torture on her waist.
"Thank you for letting me keep clothes at your place, Jake." she finally speaks after comfortable silence of being in each others arms.
Jake rests his chin on the top of her head. "I told you, you could have the full thing if you wanted, but you insisted on the half."
"I know, and I'm grateful." Naya inhales, basking in the warmth of Jake, despite it being a windy evening on the beach.
Her imprint peeks an eye down at her. "You know you can have anything of mine, right? My drawer, my clothes, my bed, I mean it Na."
Naya smiles at the nickname, it started out as him teasing her, as her mother always calling her Na Na. But since, Jake has adapted to just calling her Na.
"And you know I wouldn't ever ask that of you, right?" Naya sits up, they were still trying to navigate the whole, imprints for life, whilst also taking things slow being in a new relationship.
