Losing Something Special

Becky seen Carol crying in a Corner and she walked up to her to see what was wrong

Young Becky:
"Hey, Carol what's wrong."

Young Carol:
*sniffs* "My mom is thinking about making me move again and I don't want to leave you. She making me go, so I won't see you again."

Young Becky:
"Wait! Why she can't do that."

Young Carol:
"Yes she can Becky, you don't understand she's my mother Becky she can make me do anything."

Young Becky:
"When that day comes Carol I will be with you until that day comes."

Carol and her mother decide they weren't going to leave, Carol's mom wanted her to be happy so she let her stay.

      Present day

Who knew all this would happened, who knew Carol would leave me. Just not the same way you think.

I wish she would have left that way but it was the other way around, I missed her for sure.

On the news they said a man found her in a alley way bought dead, so I did what any other person would do to get answers.

So instead of ignoring it, I got tired of it and went to find Carol to get answer. I finally went to her house.

Carol never told me where she lived, I know where she lives because I followed Carol home one day after school.

I thought she was hiding something so I followed her

I knocked on Carols door, Who answer the door was Carol

Carol:
"Becky what are you doing here?"

Becky:
"I want answers now Carol why was you in that alleyway Carol."

Carol:
"You shouldn't be here Becky, leave now."

Becky:
"WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS TRYING TO KICK ME OUT OF YOUR LIFE CAROL."

Carol:
"BECAUSE I WAS NEVER YOUR FRIEND BECKY, I ONLY WAS YOUR FRIEND BECAUSE I FELT BAD FOR YOU."

Becky:
"YOUR LYING." *begins to sob*
YOU HELPED ME THROUGH HARD TIMES AND EVERYTHING."

Carol:
"WELL THATS OVER WITH NOW BECKY, I DON'T NEED YOU NOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP ANYMORE. I DON'T NEED YOU ANYMORE BECKY!!"

I started to cry harder and I seen the anger in Carol's face

Becky:
"Ok, if you want to end our friendship right here right now. Let's do it. Stay out of my life forever Carol."

Carol:
"Wait, Becky I didn't mean i-t."

I didn't give her time to explain, as she was about to speak or get the words out I ran as fast away from her as far as I could.

I didn't look back or anything with tears shedding down my face, I felt like I was played out of my kindness and it hurt.

When I soon came to the bus stop I cried and cried, until a stranger came up to me, someone I completely didn't know but I could tell he wouldn't gonna hurt me because he was my age.

He looked like he was in my grade because he looked mighty familiar

Unknown:
"Oh hey! Becky how are you today?"

Becky's thoughts:
"Who is this guy and how does he know my name?"

Becky:
"Umm...sorry to be rude but who are you?"

Unknown:
"Becky! How can you forget me, we grew up together remember."

I stared blankly at him like I just didn't understand a joke my friend had told me

Unknown:
"Omg Becky I am the son of your dads friend Mark remember."

Just like that I remembered who he was, he was my first crush until he moved away when I was 5

Becky:
"OMG! Max it's you your back!"

Max:
"Yeah pretty much."

He smiled at me and I completely blushed then I just remembered I have tears on my face. So I turned quickly and wiped my face then turned back to him with a smile.

Max:
"I didn't realize it was you until I seen a girl over here crying, so I came to see what was wrong with her. Then I found out it was you. Oh! Yeah! Why were you crying anyway."

I sat back down on the bench like I just seen a ghost and just remembered everything that happened

Becky:
"Today was a hard day for me today. I just lost my friend and I don't want to go home because my parents might be fighting again, it's pretty hard for me and stressful."

I sat my head on my knees feeling like everything that happened today is my fault

All of a sudden I feel someone rest there hand on my head and pats me gently

Max:
"It's alright to be stressed sometimes Becky and also don't blame things that happens on yourself they happen for a reason. So don't push yourself to much"

I stared at Max like it was just the two of us in the world and everybody else was nothing but a bunch of dust particles

Soon the bus pulls up in front of both of us

Max:
"Welp! This is my stop I guess I see you around Becky."

Becky:
"Yeah see ya Max."

He smiled as he waved to me and I waved back in disappointment

Becky's thoughts:
"Becky why are you disappointed? There's no point in it he's just a friend, your crush on him is long gone. But why did I hope for more as I talked to him."

I didn't know what I wanted after that day but I was happy, he was there to comfort me when I needed it

"I wish I never met Carol" soon as I say those words, my eyes start to tear up thinking about a life without Carol. But after those things I said I don't think she will ever talk to me again.

I wish I would have forgave her. She probably was doing this or saying those things to protect me or out of sadness

I knew Carol better than anybody, I knew Carol wouldn't have said or did none of those things to me without a reason and I planned I was gonna find out that reason

I walked home thinking about how and what I was gonna do to get Carol to tell me what's going on with her

I just wished I was prepared for what I was about to walk in on
