For how long I slept, I'm not sure. But I do remember I was woken up by a persistent knock on the door. I rolled more in my covers, hoping the person will just disappear. The person refused. I swear I could kill whoever was knocking. I really struggled to sleep and finally when I found a bed I clicked with... knock knock, knoooocckk knock knock I finally rose mumbling curses on Matthew. I had finally found something that made me glad in this godforsaken marriageand his evil ass will just up deny my sweet sleep every sweet angel like me deserved.I opened the door Gosh, it was even unlocked ready to glare at him after all he was the owner of the house and I couldn't tell him off for knocking on his door just to meet the cheerful face of an elderly woman holding a tray.
"Good morning Mrs. Williams" she said waltzing into the room. "I brought you breakfast." She set the tray on the office table fascinating, I have an office table in my room "Mr. Williams said I should make sure you're well fed." She moved over to stand in front of me "He was right, you really are skinny" she said with a frown.
"Good morning Mrs......" I smiled at her. But I was frowning in my mind, Matthew was worried about me being skinny?
"No, no Mrs for you, call me Macy." She said wagging her finger in my face.
"Then you'd have to drop my Mrs too. You can call me Stacey." One less reminder that I was in a marriage I didn't want, I thought "Nice our names rhyme." I said when I realized, chuckling.
She chuckled in response. "You're different. I thought you were an extremely shy and introverted or mean spoiled girl" She said rather seriously.
I smiled, but it didn't reach my eyes. My father had never spoiled me rotten, even though he made me feel like I was the only girl in the world.
My stepfather hadn't bothered with me either. My stepbrother gave me no room to be spoiled. I could be a mean brat at times, but that was because of him from him. Having a stepfather who was a millionaire didn't exactly change my life or complete my fairytale. If anything, it totally destroyed it.
"But you are aware you're in Young Master Williams room" she said carrying herself over to the wardrobes.
"He said something like that," I said giving the room a look over. It certainly was masculine. I might have to change it. I looked at the walk in wardrobe she opened and saw a variety of suits and shoes and shirt and sweaters....omg what didn't this guy have, his wardrobe was like walking into a boutique for men. I scanned the room again. It definitely was his. But my eyes met the bed and they softened considerably.
"So if I want to change my room, can I carry the bed along too."
Macy was opening the curtains and letting fresh air and sunshine in and muttering about how kids of today didn't understand the importance of early morning air and sunlight."Carry the bed to your room." she said turning to me "What on Earth for."
"I love it, and I can't exactly tell Matthew to move out of here"
She chuckled, "so you'll move the bed out of here" and then went on muttering about how kids of today had so many crazy ideas."But you must eat. I've dressed your room and packed your belongings in your room." She said waltzing to the table to open the foods " You can eat your breakfast here and go off and change in your room. You are aware you're still in your wedding gown, right"
I looked down and groaned. True and it was a mess. I had underestimated how much of the wedding gown I had torn on the front door.
"Your face is an equal mess. But I watched you yesterday evening and you barely ate anything. So I was sure you'd be hungry"
Her words and the scent of the food wafted over and my stomach had an appropriate response. "So you finish your breakfast and I'll show you to your room. There's a bell on the table, ring when you're done"
