The ace of hearts

chapter 6

Henry, Regina and I  were at the Nolans welcome home party for David. Regina was talking to Catherine in the kitchen while Henry talked about how he isn't affected by the curse with Emma and I talked to David.

"So how has the hospital been treating you?" I asked him.

"Good but I'm glad I'm... home?" He said although the last part was more of a question.

"And what about Ms Blanchard. Seen her recently?" I asked. *wink**wink*.

"Very funny. No actually she's been ducking me." He said elbowing me lightly.

"She has been very busy with Jadie." I said trying to shrug it of. I couldn't let the curse break up my OTP.

"Who's Jadie?" He asked. Oh yeah he doesn't know.

"Ms Blanchard adopted Jadie the same night you woke up.Remember the little 3 year old at the hospital?" I asked.

"Yeah. Ok thanks it helped." He said before patting my head and going over to talk to Emma and Henry. I decided to go get a drink from the kitchen and I really didn't want to talk to Emma. As I walked in I saw Regina trying to convince Katryn to go out into the living room.

"She's right you are Davids wife. Don't worry." I said. Ok don't get me wrong I want Snow white and Prince charming together more than anyone but they need a bump to overcome. In the book Charming and Kathryn were together but they both loved someone else Charming needs a sign and that won't come till him and Kathryn come to an understanding. I'm gonna regret this though.

So long story short she decided to leave after declaring Regina a friend and I turned to the counter grabbing a ginger ale and turning to leave only too have Regina grab my wrist.

"I thought you believed in the curse?" She said/asked looking at me, "What happened?"

"Everyone needs to overcome a few obstacles to find their happily ever after." I said slipping my wrist from her grasp and walking out. When I entered the living room though David wasn't there. I didn't question it and instead just went and talked too Henry while Emma and Whale talked to each other.

The next day I was back with Papa in our mansion. I was in my binge watching How I met your Mother when I heard Papa call me dinner. I went running down the stairs jumping down the last 2 steps I went into the dining room which like most of the rooms in here was covered in antiques. I sat at one end of the Table while Papa sat at the other all the food was already set out.

Today's starter was a chicken and carrot soup with a few slices of white bread. The main course was a seasoned Pork tenderloin (Seasoned with; Rosemary, chile flakes, thyme and sage) with fries, salt and garlic mayonnaise. For Dessert was 3 scoops of Ice cream (mint chocolate chip,chocolate and Strawberry.) there was whipped cream, chocolate flakes, sprinkles and a crystalised strawberry on top with lemon meringues served on the side. I only ate 2 of the scoops of Ice cream with one Meringue and even then it was a struggle. I excused myself and was about to walk upstairs when Papa said something.

"You're like Bae..." He said he was obviously drunk I mean he had been drinking since the starter and had way too much. He was always like this when he had more than 3 drinks at once. Whenever I tried to stop him though he'd freak out. At one point he actually ended up slapping me in the arm but I hid it from everyone even him. He didn't remember doing it and I didn't want to bring it up. Every time I ask who Bae is when he's sober though he just gives me a look and says he doesn't know what I'm talking about.

So anyway I walked over to him taking his bottle from his hand and after taking his cane I helped him upstairs to his room. I lay him down gently in his bed before tucking him in and after switching off the light I walked into my own room. I rested my head on my large violet Pillow, snuggled under my Wine colored blanket and I was asleep in seconds.

The next day when was walking into school I heard David and Ms Blanchard talking. Apparently David left Kathryn for ms Blanchard. That night Papa was working in the shop while I read in the backroom but I heard the bell go off. I peeked behind the curtain to see it was David. Papa and him discussed how to get too the troll bridge but then David regained his memories and went running off to I don't know where and I simply walked right past Papa and walked home to sleep.

A few days later Graham mysteriously died after kissing Emma. The doctors said it was a heart attack but Henry and I think that Regina crushed his heart out of Jealousy.
